Join the Apple Media Products Localization team to help us define our future vision, working within our organization to understand and improve our processes, as well as build a framework, so we can capture and measure our impact on the global customer experience. You will lead a small team passionate about innovating within the Localization space and you will use your sharp analytical skills to build meaningful insights to help prioritize valuable resources and improve workflow processes and leverage new technology.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of people and organizational management in a global enterprise environment

  • 10+ years of Operations, Localization, International Product development, or International Business management experience

  • Demonstrated success using data analysis to build winning executive presentations

  • Able to motivate and lead high performing teams

  • Technical proficiency with experience collaborating closely with engineering and product teams

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence and communicate through data

  • Ability to put people at ease with an open and collaborative style

  • Thrives in an ambiguous and constantly changing work environment


  • Use your experience to improve our workflow processes working closely with our Engineering and Localization Leads

  • Bring your understanding of new technologies and innovation in the Localization space to help solve big problems

  • Use data to measure the quality and cultural relevance of our Localization efforts and it's impact on the global customer experience

  • Work collaboratively with our Localization and Operational teams to help identify areas for growth

  • Build partnerships within our Server UI teams and Featured Editorial teams to arm them with insights to make informed business decisions

  • Manage a small team dedicated to improving our International Customer Experience as it relates to languages

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree, MBA or equivalent experience

Specifically, we're looking for an exceptional Technical Program Manager to drive a new generation of internal tools initiatives related to Localization Vendor Onboarding, Resource Management and QA Automation, as well as Editorial Copy and Localization workflow projects across all of Apple Media Products, including; App Store, Arcade, Apple Music, Beats 1, Books, Podcasts, and TV. Program Managers for Editorial Tools are responsible for shipping new features and improving on existing features to scale our Editorial, Localization and Content Operations teams processes. We're looking for people with proven track records of shipping complex projects across various services lines under pressure and aggressive timelines. This is a hands-on position where the Program Manager will be involved in requirements gathering and analysis, functional and technical design discussions, technical specification writing, testing and driving user acceptance testing, proof-of-concept, working with both internal and external partners, and more. This is not a task-based job; you will be responsible for successful outcomes and executing flawlessly for delivery of end-to-end solutions. Strong fundamentals are a must, but you must go well beyond. Key Qualifications * 4+ years of program, project, or product management in software development. * Strong understanding of content management systems and the information architecture behind it. * Identify and scope cross-functional projects based on current engineering resources, user requests and business priorities. * Define user workflows, taking into account multiple teams and their differing work styles. * Communicate clearly with engineering to guide the design and development of database models. * Self-starting, self-motivated, disciplined, and self-sufficient. * Extraordinary communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to all levels of an organization. * Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings). * Strong technical proficiency in software architecture and development. Bonus points for past programming experience. * Familiar with Agile & Waterfall Methodologies. * ScrumMaster, Product Owner, or PMP certificates a plus. * Managed resource management, QA automation or workflow platforms for Editorial Copy, Localization teams. * Strong understanding of design tech and asset management principles and systems Description * Drive and ship all aspects of large, cross-functional projects related to Internal Editorial Tools for Content Operations, Localization and Editorial. - Oversee all aspects of multiple concurrent features including scope, requirements, timelines, and resource allocation. - Define business, functional, and operational requirements (often writing them yourself). - Take a role in improving how features are built and executed on the Editorial Tools team. - Own overall cross-functional schedules, which may impact cross-functional engineering teams, including client, server, tools, reporting and others.
