As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for directing and managing large and / or complex programs and projects that touch multiple lines of business across JPMC and for leading the day to day execution and associated results.

This position requires a strong self-starter who can proactively engage virtual, cross functional teams without formal direction; someone who is solution oriented, cares deeply about the products and solutions he/she helps deliver; has a proven track record of delivering the forecasted value proposition of the business case; is comfortable working with the C-Suite and is not afraid of having tough conversations backed by sound reasoning and good judgement.

This position requires the ability to develop and implement creative solutions to challenging problems while collaborating with-in and across teams and lines of business; someone with entrepreneurial spirit, open to new approaches and out of the box ideas, striving to create innovative products and services while adhering to strong process discipline; Someone who is detail oriented, yet has the ability to see the big picture in the context of the program and its intended benefits.

We are looking for someone with sound knowledge of and hand-on experience with Agile/Lean principles and mindset bent on process efficiency & optimization. You are expected to be able to successfully manage business programs/projects, both with or without IT dependencies in either Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid methodology while coaching and inspiring others, building strong relationships, and creating a true followership.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product, Finance, Demand Management, and IT partners on Road-map planning, business case creation, budgeting, forecasting, project intake and delivery

  • Manage cross-functional project teams leveraging project/program management process discipline; Develop integrated project plans and manage to the milestones within the plans

  • Implement and monitor an effective tracking to ensure complete and timely closure of Risks, Action Items, Issues and Decisions.

  • Manage dependencies across projects; drive mitigation of risks and resolution of issues across internal and external teams. Escalate as appropriate and collaborate with team to identify options/solutions

  • Manage variances from budgeted financials; Institute strategies to course correct and provide the leadership team with viable options

  • Produce and disseminate multi-tiered reporting commensurate with the needs of the audience. Ensure that all information is consistent, correct, accurate and timely.

  • Collaborate with multitude of stakeholders, communicate at an appropriate cadence, manage their expectations and negotiate for optimal solutions, priorities and delivery schedules

  • Create and maintain an executive dashboard on project performance; manage successful Program governance forum that provides the leadership team with pertinent information and options that help them make informed decisions

  • Help the leadership team with data driven and metrics driven decision making

  • Develop a deep understanding of organizational issues/challenges and identify process improvement opportunities; refine processes for optimization and reduction in bureaucracy

  • Develop and maintain artifacts that outline preventative and corrective actions necessary to remediate control deficiencies, maximizing effectiveness, and mitigating future exposure

  • Track resource utilization against forecasts and escalate variances. Look to optimize utilization

  • Partner with the Business to identify operational risks; ensure overall operational readiness/field readiness prior to launch; develop operational readiness playbook and facilitate Go/No Go meetings upon completing of testing

  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline current processes, focus on driving efficiency and improvements in controls

  • Collect and store all required compliance artifacts for the program/project across the project life cycle

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with consistent outstanding academic record or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of business management or consulting experience in information technology and/or business operations

  • Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in past positions specific to developing , driving and managing programs and associated budgets

  • Effective communicator with 'know your audience' skills and the ability distil complex ideas into easy to understand messaging

  • Strong stakeholder management skills; effective negation and persuasion skills. Adept at building partnerships based on common objectives.

  • Deep expertise in industries such as payments, financial services, high-tech, telecommunications, manufacturing or pharmaceuticals

  • Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, business development, product development, project management, marketing and sales

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization in a collaborative team environment

  • Initiative taker, eager to break new ground, create opportunities for others and roll up sleeves to provide a consultative approach while creating successful outcomes

  • Willingness to take personal risks - as seen through leadership roles - in work environment and extracurricular activities

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with proven ability to influence

  • Possesses excellent EQ with an empathetic communication style that fosters connection, collaboration and motivation

  • Possesses a high business acumen and proven ability to plan proactively and react quickly when challenges arise

  • Thrives in a fast-changing work environment and sees ambiguity as opportunity

  • Insists on providing constructive, direct feedback in a mature and respectful manner

  • Formal project management training and PMP Certification is preferred

  • Formal training and certifications on Lean, Six Sigma & Agile methodologies preferred

  • Prior consulting experience is a plus (preferably with Big 4 consulting firms)

We are searching for a Senior Program Manager in our Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, located in Plano, TX. We specialize in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced small Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience. You have excellent acumen in, and familiarity with, EO/IR, radar, and sensors, and have strong expertise managing Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) or Technical Development (TD).
