Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending.

Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise.

May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

You will work as part of the Storage business planning team, supporting the File Storage Service, for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with ownership of a significant part of the OCI service capital budget. You will own capacity planning & purchasing, demand forecasting, program management of efficiency initiatives, and assist in the development/rationalization of overall service strategy. We are seeking driven, strategic and seasoned Senior Program Managers with cloud experience and a readiness to expand their impact across a division.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Program Manager, you will instantly be able to have significant business impact. This will include ensuring our customers always have capacity to available to them on demand, providing senior management with detail insight into business performance and providing recommendations for business growth.

You will have a chance to work with some of the best minds in the industry to build a business that enables our service teams to build the best-in-class service for our cloud customers at scale. You will plan and direct project schedules, including monitoring projects from initiation through delivery, and organize cross-team activities ensuring completion of projects on schedule. You will analyze key data to explain historical, current and future business performance, sales pipeline, forecast demand, define business opportunities, and explain the outcome and recommendations to leadership. You will engage and collaborate with business stakeholders on efficiency initiatives to ensure the storages services are operating at peak efficiency.

Job Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have large-scale cloud supply chain or capacity planning experience. They will be hands-on and familiar with business operations, managing capacity, supply chain, sales pipeline and usage forecasting, and business insight and analytics. Additionally, qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree; Masters is a plus

  • 4-7 years' experience in capacity/supply chain planning, including driver based demand forecast modeling and managing projects/programs spanning multiple teams and organizations, from conception to delivery

  • Experience with SQL

  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to team with product managers to establish and maintain our roadmap, setting appropriate expectations and insuring our product and services meet our high standards for customer satisfaction

  • Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through internal and external organizations and individual

  • Some travel between US engineering centers may be required
