Provide administrative support to the academic programs in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training within Sargent College. Responsibilities include; coordination and management of diverse tasks related to admissions, the student database and course evaluations and serving as departmental liaison for students. The latter includes directing requests/questions to appropriate faculty/staff member, scheduling and leading frequent meetings with prospective students, dissemination of programmatic information to current and potential students and organizing numerous departmental events (including orientations, open houses, Emergency Cardiac Care trainings and full class events). Position is also responsible for transfer application processing, providing technical support to faculty and assisting with the supervision of student employees.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. required. One to three years of administrative experience required (preferably in an academic setting) and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in person and over the phone, to a variety of audiences.

Familiarity with Blackboard, particularly Blackboard Learn, is preferred. Position is 40 hours/week.

VIEW JOBS 7/30/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-28T00:00 Program Coordinator will work closely with the Program Director of the on-line post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate (ppOTD) program to provide programmatic support. Will serve as the admissions liaison by overseeing the on-line admissions process; answering inquiries, scheduling virtual open house sessions hosted by the Program Director, preparing pp-OTD applications for review, circulating applications for review, recording admissions decisions, generating decision letters, and tracking acceptances. Will be responsible for maintaining student databases and working with the Sargent College Financial Manager and Program Director on the budget. Will also work with the Program Director and Graduate Financial Aid Administrator on merit scholarships for students. Support faculty in the pp-OTD program with course preparation, Blackboard Learn, content for the Sargent College website, and requesting desk copies. Assist with financials, ordering, and events for pp-OTD such as the booth for the American Occupational Therapy Associations (AOTA) annual conference. Work on special projects as needed. Position is 50% time. Required Skills Bachelors Degree required and 3 years of experience preferably in an academic setting. Individual must be able to work independently, initiate regular duties, follow through on projects/tasks, and monitor work for accuracy; strong attention to detail, excellent writing and overall communication skills, professionalism, strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required.
