The Senior Program Coordinator will assist in the coordination of the undergraduate History major and minor program, supporting the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Administrative Manager, and departmental leadership. The Senior Program Coordinator will also assist in registration aspects of the Departments' graduate program. This position serves as first point of contact for the department, and will assist students and others with questions about the department by phone, email and in person, directing inquiries to other members of the department as needed.

Tasks include but are not limited to: maintenance of the departmental website and social media, convocation and event planning, maintaining undergraduate and graduate student records, assisting with the course schedule process and overseeing department proprietary room schedules. This position edits and publishes the department newsletter as well as advertising events and courses, as well as conduct and coordinate the selection, processing, supervision, and assignment of work-study staff.

This position is 35 hours per week with the possibility of going up to 37.5 hours per week as needed.

Required Skills

Required Skills: B.A./ B.S. required, proficiency in MS Office, working knowledge of Adobe Suite preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated experience in administrative support.
