The person hired for the position of Senior Product Support Engineer will own the design intent for a specific set of commercialized medical devices within the Perioperative Platform of the Medical Solutions Division. This individual will lead and support projects that positively impact quality, performance, service, and cost, and will collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, regulatory, lab, business, and plant personnel.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Leads the design specification portion of medical device design controls
Participates in the development and maintenance of product and process understanding
Supports complaint, plant non-conformance, and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) investigations, as well as external quality system and technical audits
Significant involvement in supplier management
Leads design-related change control and the associated product changes
Maintains product design documentation in compliance with division Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other regulatory requirements.
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum two (2) years of combined experience supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environment
Minimum five (5) years of product support and/or manufacturing/production experience in the medical device industry
Medical device and/or Quality Management System (QMS) experience such as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Quality System Regulation (QSR) and/or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485
Experience in developing, assessing, improving and validating test methods
Effectively conducting root cause analysis and managing corrective / preventative actions
Change management experience
Strong demonstrated ability to lead teams, identify opportunities for improvement and drive change
Proven results managing projects to completion
Statistical knowledge and practice e.g. Design of Experiments (DOE), Sampling Plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process and Product Process Understanding (PPU), and Lean Manufacturing
Strong communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)
Experience leading a cross functional team
Microsoft Office proficient, ENOVIA a plus
