Position: Senior Product Marketing Manager
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Drive product adoption and usage by providing effective product launch strategies and support.
Develop, conduct, and utilize market research to learn customer needs, desires, competitor information, and industry trends. Collaborate with Product Management teams to define the vision and strategic direction and priorities for Walmart Connect's product offering. Develop and manage end-to-end product marketing project plans ensuring on-time delivery.
Communicate effectively with partner teams to ensure all associated work streams deliver as planned. Identify market opportunities; build data and audience driven product marketing strategies and develop business cases working closely with product teams and sales. Create MRDs (Marketing Requirements Documents) and collaborate with product teams to define product priorities.
Plan and lead cross-functional efforts to drive successful alpha and beta tests to test product-market fit, gain direct advertiser feedback, and build use cases for more efficient product development iterations. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Walmart's product suite. Lead sales enablement efforts, partner closely with marketing, corporation communications, and learning and development teams.
Drive adoption of products and ensure best practices. Provide thought leadership on market and competitive trends. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, Information Technology Management, or related field and 2 years of experience in business management, database management, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, Information Technology Management, or related field and 4 years of experience in business management, database management, or related field.
Skills required: Experience building personas, conducting stakeholder interviews, executing targeting and segmentation analysis, and executing data analysis to gain customer insights.
Experience conducting market research and competitive analysis to gain market insights and identify market opportunities. Experience developing and defining product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated knowledge of the product prototyping lifecycle stages, including ideation, alpha releases, beta releases, and general availability.
Experience working with Product Management teams to define product vision and strategic directions. Experience planning and leading cross-functional efforts to drive successful alpha and beta tests to validate product-market fit. Demonstrated knowledge of demand generation and content marketing strategies and tactics for growth and adoption.
Experience working with Sales and Partner teams to promote the adoption of new product launches. Experience defining KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) to measure product launch impact and success. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
