Be a Hyper-converged/Storage/Virtualization infrastructure software domain expert on the products, solutions & strategies of vendors in our market space
Use competitive intelligence to strengthen vSAN differentiation, influence competitive feature development
Apply domain expertise for deep technical analysis for competitive features and use appropriate research tactics and intelligence tools.
This role requires close collaboration with the world-wide sales teams and customers to provide actionable competitive intelligence for deal specific support and driving proactive account and segment specific strategy.
Be a prolific content creator to help scale competitive knowledge. Help build and maintain sales and marketing assets (e.g., competitive deep dives, battle-cards, market landscape analysis etc.). Engage in processes to disseminate these assets, competitive benchmarking and SWOT analysis, market guidance to executive leadership, marketing, product management and sales
Train field teams on competitive position & strategy, including strengths, weaknesses, validation points, and tactics
Minimum of 7 years of domain expertise in enterprise and cloud infrastructure (storage, server, virtualization, application technologies) with at least 3 years in a customer or field facing role. Experience in Product Marketing/Product Management or Technical Marketing/Solution Architecture in the enterprise infrastructure software or systems market required.
Strong analytical skills and passion for analyzing products, competitors, and market dynamics. Can quickly synthesize disparate data into a position and craft messaging that connects with a diverse audience of stakeholders; including customers, sales, R&D and executives.
Strong organizational skills. Able to research and project manage dozens of changing data points. Collaborative approach with product management, technical marketing, field sales and product marketing teams required. Ability to drive results through influence important.
This role is based in our Palo Alto, CA headquarters.
