We are looking for a business savvy self-starter to be the head product manager of Rockwell Unscripted. This is a unique opportunity to be the leader and P&L owner of one of the fastest growing product lines at Knoll.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be the business owner of the Rockwell Unscripted collection: Set the vision and priorities, align the team, and manage the P&L

  • Develop and execute strategies to manage high-performing and underperforming categories within the collection

  • Evolve and execute the Rockwell Unscripted marketing approach and brand positioning

  • Steer the product development agenda, informing priorities for and ensuring successful and timely commercialization of new products

  • Manage Rockwell Unscripted Associate Product Manager and collaborate with counterparts in Sales, Design, Product Development, and Operations to drive the product line's success

Required Skills

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA a plus

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in product management, brand management or marketing

  • Strong design interest and sensitivity

  • Travel up to 30%

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 THE OPPORTUNITY The Digital Solutions Marketing team is seeking to hire a strategic, energetic and creative Senior Product Marketing Manager, who believes educational technology can have a positive impact on student's academic trajectory. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the marketing activities for brand-new digital programs as well as supporting the marketing activities of the new core reading program as it relates to the digital suite of programs through effective sales support, product enhancements, promotional activity, lead generation, and renewals. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will: * Be the expert on product information including technology, teaching and student materials, and competition * Write thoughtful, innovative and strategic product messaging and collateral copy * Work directly with the Demand Generation/Campaign management teams to successfully plan and execute campaigns across direct and indirect channels (social media, advertising, conventions, key events, catalogs, website, direct marketing and sales materials and presentations, etc.) * Develop competitive story and work with the field to educate them on how to sell competitively * Be available to sales, professional services, operations, customer service, design and editorial to problem-solve and close issues * Build out the Scholastic Educator community to become program evangelists as programs are implemented * Work closely with the product development and editorial teams, representing the voice of the customer in the development process * Be available to field sales, operations, customer service, and design to problem-solve and close issues * Launch new enhancements and products to the sales force Key Responsibilities: * Maintain expert knowledge of the market for digital reading programs, including core, intervention, ELL, and Bilingual products in K – 8 schools * Lead competitive analysis efforts to inform positioning and new product development * Support the sales and service organizations as they communicate with customers * Keep the sales force up to date on latest information about products, positioning for new market segments and competitive intelligence * Work with sales team to develop specific product presentation tools for the field to ensure deep selling expertise (sales presentations, brochures, email messages, etc.) * Keep website up to date with latest product information * Represent marketing in product development meetings * Write custom responses to complex customer questions and RFPs HOW YOU CAN FIT * Bachelors degree or higher * Excellent communication, writing & presentation skills * 5+ years' experience in product marketing, with a focus on reading programs * Experience working in K-12 schools, or education degree * Team management experience (Preferred) * Background in educational technology extremely desirable * Knowledge of market for reading curriculum materials for K-12 schools * Intense commitment to following-through on all projects until completion * Team player with high energy and an open min Additional Requirements: * Periodic travel will be required – and occasional weekends * Strong orientation to detail * Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint * Project management, including budgeting and scheduling * Ability to juggle multiple projects and to continually shift priorities given market changes * Flexibility and willingness to help colleagues in management of related products WHO WE ARE Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) is the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books, a leading provider of core literacy curriculum and professional services, and a producer of educational and entertaining children's media.
