Eliminating borders for buyers and sellers, Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) facilitates Amazon's expansion into a rapidly growing list of countries, creating new logistical benchmarks and "firsts" through disruptive innovation. Our multicultural, multilingual team works with merchants, sellers, providers, governments and trade officials from the busiest to the most remote locations around the world, applying a global perspective with a local approach.

Our mission is "Every supplier. Every location. Every customer on Earth."

We are looking for a entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager-Technical to own the vision, definition, expansion and scale of a new global platform. You are a creative problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

You will have end-to-end product ownership from strategic opportunity assessment to tactical road mapping and feature development. You'll be the product lead for interfacing with stakeholders and customers, defining the roadmap & vision for the multi-tenant service that meets the detailed technical requirements while maximizing business impact.

This role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to assess new opportunities, create business cases, and bring new platform capabilities to market. You will proactively identify and resolve strategic and tactical issues, providing cross-functional leadership to deliver to the program. Other key responsibilities include engagement with stakeholders to drive road-mapping, prioritization and implement mechanisms to ensure appropriate levels of quality to maintain the overall integrity of the service.

We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast paced start-up like environment and want to invent the future.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop business cases to leverage core technology capabilities to other use cases in Amazon's e-commerce business. Develop core product management documentation, including user scenarios and detailed business requirements.

  • Interact with key business and technical stakeholders to gather detailed business and technical requirements, define key product performance indicators (KPIs), as well as release-specific success metrics

  • Interface with partner and technical teams to identify opportunities to innovate and improve our capabilities

  • Work with early-adopter and visionary 3P Sellers to invent the next set of customer-centric solutions

  • Bring an eye for user experience and design to ensure features drive high adoption and seller delight

From Jeff Bezos' annual letter to Amazon shareholders:

"To further globalize Marketplace, we're now helping sellers in each of our geographies and in countries where we don't have a presence reach out to our customers in countries outside their home geographies. We hosted merchants from more than 100 different countries last year, and helped them connect with customers in 185 nations.

Almost one-fifth of our overall third-party sales now occur outside the sellers' home countries, and our merchants' cross-border sales nearly doubled last year. In the EU, sellers can open a single account, manage their business in multiple languages, and make products available across our five EU websites. More recently, we've started consolidating cross-border shipments for sellers and helping them obtain ocean shipping from Asia to Europe and North America at preferential, bulk rates."
