Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Product Managers, Technical located in Frisco, TX will partner with internal and external stakeholders and leadership to understand the business and technology landscape of Promotions at T-Mobile and creatively define solutions in support of new product offerings, alleviating customer experience pain points and improving the architecture.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create, and manage product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for technical platform capabilities intake to Promo DevOps technology teams.

  • Own the technical platform/product end-to-end and roadmap at the technology/functional level.

  • Partner with business and internal and external stakeholders to understand current customer experiences, and identify areas of opportunity.

  • Lead and manage platform/product roadmap and priorities with business and technology partners.

  • Align multiple domains, both technical and non-technical, to the product vision.

  • Lead platform/product backlog grooming sessions partnering with key resources.

  • Partner with enterprise-quality/test team in the pre-production quality/test environment to triage and track Promo DevOps platform/product defects to complete resolution throughout the end-to-end lifecycle of a promotion.

  • Manage the "big picture" of challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, process, and policy considerations, and creatively define and implement technical solutions to those challenges.

  • Inform and evangelize a strong customer focus and customer experience that aligns decision-making with IT investment choices and prioritization.

  • Work with other Product Managers and businesses to identify and articulate initiative scope, benefits, and ROI.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and manage platform/product releases.

  • Manage capacity/work planning.

  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Skill requirements:

  • (1) Utilize system design expertise in Near-Real time data processing, Distributed event processing Microservices and Message brokers using Tibco (Cloud Enterprise, Rules and Decision Engines), Springboot, RabbitMQ, Kafka and Pivotal Cloud Foundry to drive technical solutions;

  • (2) Utilizing platform technologies and components including security, performance, optimization, and API integration;

  • (3) Identifying, analyzing, and synthesizing product usage data utilizing tools including Toad, Splunk, App Dynamics and using data to drive decisions for marketing and operations;

  • (4) Writing technical documentation including Product capability and features, UML/Component and architecture diagrams, designing and developing API specification documents including Swagger to build detailed technical product requirements;

  • (5) Working with integration patterns, API's, and protocols including REST, EDI, and SOAP to Drive adoption of Domain APIs and generate robust API ecosystem; and

  • (6) Using knowledge of DevOps (CI / CT / CD) and application of CI/CT/CD in Agile environment to deliver products faster and improve organizational performance.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related, and 7 years of relevant work experience.
