Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join our fast-paced team in the Digital Biology Group at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where we're changing the world by pushing the boundaries of research and diagnostics with droplets.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate globally with commercial teams on voice of the customer inputs, competitive

  • intelligence, and market trends to build robust marketing plans for digital PCR product portfolios.

  • Define, bring to market and position new products and/or workflows for the translational research, biopharma drug discovery, CRO and biopharma QC markets in line with the group's overall business strategy.

  • Align market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers.

  • Construct and deliver compelling stories to the translational research and biopharma markets that promote the portfolio of products and the customer problems the products are intended to solve.

  • Responsible for developing global content for sales and support collateral for products in the portfolio, as well as content for web, media, etc.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, highlighting products at trade shows and conferences, and executing an outbound marketing presence to deliver on the group's sales and revenue goals.

  • Ensure an atmosphere of cohesiveness and focused collaboration between product managers in the team and adjacent teams, all in the interest of driving the solution forward.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of product management and/or market management experience in a directly relevant industry.

  • At least 1-2 years focused on developing, managing or positioning of products into the biopharma market segment.

  • Direct people management experience highly desired.

  • BS/BA in Life Sciences required; MS, MBA or PhD highly desired.

  • Strong understanding of genomics and molecular technologies, including PCR, qPCR; digital PCR and NGS experience are favorable.

  • Innovative and strategic thinker, action driven, flexible in changing direction and methods, thrive in a fast paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, succeed in communicating with all levels within the organization and provide immediate contribution.

  • Able to challenge status quo and actively voice opinions and ideas.

  • Highly customer focused individuals who can routinely inspire the larger organization.

  • Success in this team requires attention to detail, proven analytical skills, and an ability to master complex scientific material and convey these concepts to others in a compelling, understandable manner.

  • Given the extensive contact our group has with multiple internal and external parties, strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are essential.

  • A Bio-Rad marketing professional communicates product and solution vision to development and implementation teams.

Heart Failure is a condition that affects 5 million people in the United States alone, and Abbott's coordinated effort to bring new medical device solutions to this population will revolutionize how this debilitating condition is treated in the US and around the world. This mid-level opportunity is with our US Heart Failure business. The restoration of blood flow to patients whose heart is no longer able to provide adequate cardiac output is the first goal of MCS therapy. The HeartMate family of chronic Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs) are returning patients home to live their lives and improve quality of life and functional status, while also preventing costly hospitalizations that represent a significant drain on healthcare systems around the world. The Product Marketing Manager – Heart Failure builds and executes US product marketing strategies including business objectives, product positioning, key selling messages, and marketing resources. Gathers competitive insight, proactively differentiating Abbott's LVAD portfolio, while also growing the overall market. Manages projects within budget, while meeting established business goals. Key Responsibilities: * Develops competitive analysis and clearly defines product positioning, key strategies and tactics, and targeted messaging for US MCS Chronic product marketing. * Drives patient marketing activities through best practices and development of tools to raise awareness of the benefits of MCS Chronic product lines through presentation of marketing and sales plans to internal management. * Builds a coordinated advocacy development strategy to engage Heart Failure societies like AAHFN, HFSA, ACC and ISHLT to create meaningful opportunities to collaborate. * Manages coordination with marketing communications to support development of resources, programs, and any other collateral material required to support sales and key marketing messages. * Builds strong relationships with leading KOLs around the globe with focus on US based physicians. Manages physician advisory boards, congress/symposium, and other KOL engagement activities. * Works to gather market research from customers and shares results regularly with management. * Complies with U.S. FDA regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. * Ensure appropriate training and education is provided to those personnel that are involved in the use or application of division products. * Works with internal business partners in the EPHF and other divisions to develop integrated. marketing plans to drive product mix and grow Abbott's franchise to include clinical research and publications. * Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
