The Team and Role

Our User Growth team is empowered to make dynamic changes to enhance the Tinder experience for our members. We use a high degree of autonomy, analytics, and quick testing to refine and expand our product offerings. We are focused on creating highly relevant and engaging content and features that enhance user interaction and success on the platform.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our User Growth team. This team is dedicated to enhancing the core experience to make users more successful during their Tinder journey and to keep ahead of emerging market trends. You will drive initiatives that not only refine the existing features but also explore new ways to engage users and enter new markets. Where you'll work: This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration two days per week. This position is located in Palo Alto or Los Angeles, CA.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive product vision and strategy, from conception to launch, focusing on enhancing user engagement and satisfaction while aligning with Tinder's business goals.

  • Lead the development of products that explore new market trends and user behaviors, utilizing insights to create compelling user growth opportunities.

  • Own the product lifecycle from initial conception to launch: defining product requirements, crafting wireframes, writing specs, and working closely with Engineering and Design to build, design, and launch features.

  • Develop a deep understanding of user behavior by conducting research, data analysis, and usability testing specifically targeted at identifying growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with partners across the organization, communicate product vision, understand and prioritize needs, and serve as a strong advocate for the User Growth team.

  • Manage and iterate on products in light of observed performance, competitive positioning, and emerging user needs.

  • Developing strategies to enhance user interaction and retention through innovative product features.

  • Creating and implementing features that align with emerging market trends to attract and retain users.

You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in a high growth consumer tech company.

  • Strong product intuition and UX design sensibilities, with a keen focus on fulfilling and anticipating user needs.

  • Proven track record of launching and managing product features that drive significant user growth and business impact.

  • Experience in defining metrics and performing data analysis to make informed product decisions based on A/B testing and qualitative feedback. SQL skills are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address new user growth challenges and business needs.

  • Ability to assess the impact of features on both users and the platform, considering long-term scalability and performance.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas simply and creatively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborative spirit and deep product management expertise, capable of working cross-functionally and rallying teams around shared goals.

$180,000 - $200,000 a year

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Palo Alto or Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
