The Senior Product Manager is a cross functional role for Lyten's 3D Graphene-enabled gas vapor and resonance sensing platforms. The successful candidate will have cradle to grave responsibility for Lyten's sensor reference platform roadmap as well as the growing portfolio of end customer sensor applications enabled by the Lyten gas vapor and resonance reference platforms.

The candidate will work as part of a cross functional product development and launch team consisting of Product Engineering, Business Development, Manufacturing and Marketing. Further, the position calls for the candidate to work closely with Lyten's existing Co-Development Partners and Go to Market Customers to accelerate the deployment of first commercial customer deployments and rapid follow-on product adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear product strategy that aligns with Lyten's Business goals and objectives.

  • Lead discovery, concepting, and phased de-risking for big bets

  • Build and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product's development journey and milestones from conception to launch to end of life.

  • Investigate and author Market Requirement, Product Requirement and GTM documents to accelerate cross-functional alignment, decision making and execution across the organization.

  • Lead and drive cross-functional teams, including machine learning scientists, engineers, material scientists, industry domain experts, designers, and marketers, to build high-quality solutions.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to find opportunities, trends, and customer needs.

  • Talk with customers and development partners on an ongoing basis to maintain a deep understanding of their needs, preferences, as well as competitive alternatives. •

  • Drive decision-making by presenting concepts, insights, and key findings to executives and leaders.

  • Become "the voice and domain expert" of the product line(s) to the industry writ large, press, pundits, gov't agencies, existing and potential customers.

  • Work with Lyten's marketing department to develop core product messaging, product awareness and demand strategies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering field AND 5+ years of experience as product manager in an embedded system application environment that delivered a final enterprise-class commercial product with integrated HW, SW, UI, Cloud and AI product components...OR

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field AND 7+ years of experience as product manager in an embedded system application environment that delivered a final enterprise-class commercial product with integrated HW, SW, UI, Cloud and AI product components

  • Familiarity with device architecture, modules, components, system software, silicon and other foundational blocks of the stack.

  • Experience managing and bringing to market a product line roadmap vs a single product.

  • Experience in product line management that includes managing direct reports or cross-matrix launch teams, including 3rd party contractors and customer partners.

  • A passion for innovation, and experience with design thinking, lean startup, sprint-based development cycles and other agile innovation methodologies.

  • Proven experience bringing new and disruptive products to market vs simply launching an existing product with incremental or evolutionary improvements.

  • At select times the position will require extensive travel, e.g., 1-2 weeks at a time.

Experience with GTM activities for SaaS

This position is onsite in our San Jose location.

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$170,700.00 - $256,100.00

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

This compensation and benefits information is based on Lyten's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
