The Senior Product Manager is a cross functional role for Lyten's 3D Graphene composite platforms. The successful candidate will have cradle to grave responsibility for the development and execution of Lyten's composite product roadmaps.

The candidate will work as part of a cross functional product development and launch team consisting of Product Engineering, Business Development, Manufacturing and Marketing. Further, the position calls for the candidate to work closely with Lyten's existing Co-Development Partners and initial Go to Market Customers to accelerate the deployment of first commercial deployments and rapid product evolution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate clear product strategies for multiple composite products that align with Lyten's Business goals and objectives.

  • Build, maintain, and execute product roadmaps that outlines the product's development journey and milestones from conception to launch to end of life.

  • Investigate and author Market Requirement (i.e. target product specifications) documents to accelerate cross-functional alignment, decision making and execution across the organization.

  • Lead and drive cross-functional teams, including engineers, material scientists, industry domain experts, designers, and marketers, to build high-quality products.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to find opportunities, trends, and customer needs to help determine the right products, form factors, and commercial models.

  • Talk with customers and development partners on an ongoing basis to maintain a deep understanding of their needs, preferences, as well as competitive alternatives.

  • Help develop 3rd party distributor and value added reseller channels for bringing composite products to market.

  • Drive decision-making by presenting concepts, insights, and key findings to executives and leaders.

  • Work with Lyten's marketing department to develop core product messaging, product awareness and GTM strategies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering (e.g., electrical, manufacturing), or general science (e.g., chemistry) or a related field AND 3+ years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., electrical, manufacturing), or general science (e.g., chemistry) or a related field AND 5+ years of related experience .

  • Significant knowledge of composite materials & their applications

  • Thorough understanding of both thermoplastic and thermoset composites

  • Broad knowledge of the North American composites market

  • Proven experience and a track record of bringing new and disruptive products to market

  • Proven experience working with distributors and/or value added resellers

  • Excellent analytical, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate in English to an international scientific audience.

  • Self-motivated and safety conscious.

  • Ability to work independently and to participate creatively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to build credibility and relationships across all functions and levels of Lyten and the customer's organization

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within composites or chemical distribution in the USA would be a significant plus.
  • MBA a plus

  • Preferred location is San Jose HQ.

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$141,100.00 - $211,700.00

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

This compensation and benefits information is based on Lyten's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
