  • Please note that this is not a 100% remote position. You must live close enough to one of TEGNA's 51 markets across the U.S. to go into the office if work requires it. You may be expected to spend at least 2 days in the office.

As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for multiple products including our mobile apps and over-the-top or OTT platforms. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and our internal software design and development teams. You will define user stories, acceptance criteria, groom backlogs, help prioritize features and ultimately, be responsible for the success of your products.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring a fresh perspective to TEGNA's products

  • Work closely with our stakeholders to identify user needs and pain points to inform the product roadmap

  • Review designs, write documentation and provide analysis

  • Help shape features through thoughtful data collection, insightful observations, and careful analysis

  • Assist in Quality Assurance for new features

  • Create customer-facing documentation and guide Knowledge Management, Training and Support

  • Proactively assist in the management and prioritization of a backlog

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to set aggressive goals and achieve results

  • Understanding of journalism, digital workflow and the current media landscape

  • Analytical and strategic in the way you approach and solve problems

  • Hands-on experience with web technologies - specifically native apps

  • Knowledge of project management tools

  • Able to accurately handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work well independently and as a member of a larger team

  • Exceptional collaborator and communicator (written, verbal)

  • Up-to-date and knowledgeable about the latest trends, innovations, and media best practices
