The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a Senior Product Manager who has a bias towards action and a keen understanding of how administrators of enterprise products work, think and expect. This person would also have experience shipping enterprise product(s) working collaboratively with a cross functional team with little-to-no support on day-to-day activities.

In this role, you are expected to work with both internal and external stakeholders, translate well analyzed market needs into capabilities that engineering teams can build, deploy and scale appropriately. To be successful, you must possess both business and technical skills to have frequent interactions with customers and prospects to learn their spoken and unspoken needs and present our solution in a persuasive manner. The ability to clearly communicate business goals in technical terms is a must.

Your day-to-day

  • You will support the leadership for product roadmap and execution plans

  • Collaborate with engineering, design and marketing teams to plan, build and launch high-quality product experiences for target market segments

  • You will write specs, manage project execution, help create UI/UX wireframe and define product roll-out strategy

  • Process, review and interpret customer usage patterns to uncover new product insights

  • Develop, manage and communicate the product roadmap to both internal and external key stakeholders

  • Perform market/competitive analysis, product feature prioritization and clearly articulate decisions and tradeoffs

  • Represent your product in front of customers (external and internal) in both pre and post sales situations

  • Help identify and establish key technology and sales channel partnerships

Minimum Qualifications * Minimum of 5+ years of progressively more responsible experience in product/ program/project management, business operations, and/or related functions. * BA/BS degree is required with preference for degrees in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related fields. MBA preferred. * Proven experience leading and managing complex, cross-organizational projects is critical, preferably in a supply chain/operations environment. * Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders. 
 * Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners. 
 * Experience with micro-service architecture and delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment. * An ability to influence without direct authority, as well as applying an appropriate level of assertiveness, is critical. * Strong understanding of platform, architecture design and API's. Preferred Qualifications * Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot operational issues and drive RCA with engineering. * High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to build business and financial models and perform "What-If" analysis.
