This position is designated as Hybrid

  • Fully Flexible and expected to work from our World Headquarters office once per month to several times a week. The specific days in the office are determined by managers based on business requirements. Rotary is under the jurisdiction of Illinois employment laws; we require all employees to live within reasonable daily commuting distance to Evanston.

Overview

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the overall success and performance of digital products - from conception to sunset - and its contributions toward achieving business goals and objectives with a focus on the My Rotary membership platform, and third-party integration. Your product portfolio will include customer facing features and functionalities: navigation, search, messaging, chat, guided experience flows, and personalization. The Senior Product Manager will report directly to the Director of Product Strategy and Design and is responsible for managing the My Rotary platform product teams.

You Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information System or equivalent experience required.

  • 6 to 8 years of professional experience as a product manager of software products and/or services required.

  • Demonstrated practical experience working in a Scaled Agile

  • SAFe framework required.
  • Extensive Business-to-consumer (B2C) web experience.

  • Experience with product management lifecycle.

  • Experience managing and coaching product managers or product owners.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Leading and shaping the direction of the My Rotary Platform under the guidance of the Director of Product Strategy and Design and in close collaboration with the Member and Participant Experience Office, Business, and Technology leadership;

  • Defining in close collaboration with the Director of Product Strategy and Design the overall product vision and strategy, metrics, and objectives for the My Rotary platform; evangelize them within the product teams and with partners across the organization;

  • Working with the Director of Product Strategy and Design on the conception and product design for new products and major product improvements across the My Rotary platform. Create business case development for new digital offerings within the My Rotary platform;

  • Leading by example leveraging a participant-first approach and market and business data insights to define the product strategy, product roadmap and priorities. Understand and embrace the role and importance of qualitative and quantitative methodologies;

  • Engaging and cultivating relationships with a diverse group of business stakeholders from other business units to influence shared cross-team directions and manage risks or trade-offs. Communicate clearly and persuasively with leadership, key business stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple teams and organizations through formal operational processes;

  • Working with the Director of Product Strategy and Design to define a long-term strategy for the platform, promote the product portfolio, increase participants' product awareness and adoption;

  • Analyzing product budgets, identify and mitigate risks;

  • Managing Product Owners as direct reports creating an inclusive culture where they learn and thrive.
