The Key Customer Product Marketer role is a home-office based position focused on working closely with the Key Customer Team, internal stakeholders, and the Sales team. This person ensures strategic planning and flawless execution of promotional speaker bureau, scientific congresses, and product theaters. In this role, you are a member of the marketing team and you will work closely appropriate stakeholders, and other members of the Commercial Team at the home office. You will be instrumental in managing and optimizing promotional speaker bureaus, as well as congress and product theater planning for the Key Customer Team.

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively manage and lead a core team that manages promotional speaker bureau for RCC and HCC

  • Effectively lead a core team to plan, manage, and update support materials for speaker bureaus such as Speaker Program Attendee Evaluation Forms, Speaker Program Invitations, etc.

  • Lead Product Theater (PT) planning and execution for both RCC and HCC

  • Lead core team planning to successfully execution of GPO and CONNEX programs

  • Track, analyze, communicate, and optimize speaker bureau metrics

  • Prepare speaker bureau metrics for periodic meetings for various internal meetings

  • Collaborate with Field Based Marketers to plan on Product Theaters, GPO, and CONNEX programs

  • Communicate and collaborate with sales teams and sales leadership on PTs, GPO, and CONNEX programs

  • Lead preparation, submission, and approval process for SOWs, MSAs, for KCT-related projects

  • Successfully manage the creation of speaker bureau materials and oversee review and approval process by review committee (RAMP)

  • Manage and work with various vendors & external stakeholders on key projects for the team

  • Work with Compliance, Legal, and Finance to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed for various projects

  • Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Exelixis activities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in a related discipline with at least 8 years of commercial experience in pharma/biotech marketing

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • Experience in customer facing roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including marketing experience and collaborating with field sales

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing rules and regulations

  • Preferred:

Commercial experience within oncology therapeutic area

Marketing experience in healthcare (outside of oncology)

Familiar with the congress planning, speaker bureau management, and vendor management

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Willingness to learn and ability to improve current processes

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external partners

  • Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines

  • Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success

  • Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience

  • Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary

  • ~20-25 % travel required
