Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and motivating project teams. This role demands a combination of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of project management practices. The Senior Product Manager will oversee large-scale projects or multiple smaller projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.

This role will specifically focus on driving the future strategy and execution for AvidXchange's Document Ingestion and Data Enrichment solutions. Along with his or her technology partners, the Senior Product Manager will leverage the latest in AI technologies (including but not limited to LLMs, Embeddings, etc.) to deliver strategic value to both internal and external customers.

What you'll do

  • Strategy & Vision: Lead in the formulation of product strategy, aligning with company goals and market needs. Shapes product strategy and vision based on insights and industry trends.

  • Technical Leadership: Oversee complex product developments, understanding deeper technical intricacies like SOA and system migrations. Leverages experience working with technology teams that train and deploy AI models to provide thought leadership and guide decisions.

  • Data Analysis: Ability to interpret and communicate business insights from complex data sets; leverages experience analyzing the accuracy, precision, and recall performance of AI prediction models to make actionable recommendations.

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide APMs and PMs, ensuring their growth and alignment with the product vision.

  • Risk Management: Identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks in product development.

  • Experience at Scale: Lead efforts in scaling products for large user bases, ensuring stability and performance. Plans and drives implementation of large-scale customer migrations of both technology and business process.

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with higher-level stakeholders, ensuring product direction aligns with business objectives. Leverages negotiation skills effectively with both internal teams and external partners or vendors.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Additional certifications in Product Management or leadership can be advantageous

  • 5 or more years in product management, with a history of leading product teams and driving product strategy

  • Proven hands on product experience with AI/ML technology, preferably in guiding technical decisions related to AI-enabled product development

  • Demonstrated success in launching and scaling products, leading cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior team members
