IMVU is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help develop and manage the next iteration of IMVU's social game and platform.

Responsibilities

  • Help craft and execute a compelling long-term vision for IMVU's new products particularly in the area of creator tools and art expression. You don't just take orders.

  • Internalize customer needs by segment and use that knowledge to develop fun and delightful online experiences. You know how to walk in your customers' virtual shoes.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to launch and continuously improve IMVU features and functionality. You play nice with the other kids (i.e., market and user research, interaction/visual design, engineering, marketing/PR, customer support, community management, billing/operations, and data analytics).

  • Create and nurture collaboration, communication, team excellence, quality and consistency

  • Strategically prioritize a product backlog that balances user, business, and technical needs. You're good at showing us all where we need to focus efforts.

  • Maximize your impact and know how to define, track, and report on that impact. You like to know how you're doing.

  • Own the P&L and product management oversight for a significant piece of IMVU's growing business. You're not afraid of making your number(s).

  • Live the excitement of IMVU's fast-changing industry (including virtual goods and online social experiences) and unlock points of competitive differentiation. You play to win.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of online product management experience in a growing, high-traffic consumer Internet services, game companies, or fast-growing internet startups.

  • Previous experience with 3D social games a must.

  • Direct experience owning product development within an agile/scrum development process.

  • Results-oriented ability to get things done in a fluid start-up environment with limited resources.

  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and a relentless attention to operating and usage metrics to identify opportunities for product optimization and business growth.

  • Ability to move fluidly between high-level strategic thinking and take-charge management of day-to-day details; Equally comfortable with seeing the "big picture" and meticulously thinking through every interaction requirement of online development projects.

  • A positive, no-drama-or-politics, get-things-done working style. You are not afraid to evangelize company goals and a "do-it-right-the-first-time" ethic to everyone on the team.

  • Extremely strong written & verbal communication skills.

  • Strong awareness of current mobile technologies, trends, products, and design standards.

  • BA/BS required, MBA and/or engineering/CS degrees a plus.
