SUMMARY

Oversees the strategic product management for the General and IRS Lockbox Networks at U.S. Bank. Responsible for managing, monitoring, and meeting product profit and growth goals in collaboration with relationship managers, Technology and Operations Services (TOS), project managers, implementation and corporate finance personnel. Oversees the evaluation of market trends in federal finance to identify product development needs. Recommends revisions and enhancements to product line(s) to stimulate sales, improve or enhance efficiencies and meet revenue growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops detailed project work plans specifically intended to meet role goals.

  • Manages design, development, implementation and enhancement of existing products that support organization and business line objectives by collaborating with internal partners.

  • Manages the development of product pricing and profitability analysis and recommends pricing for new services when requested by the client.

  • Manages "Requirements Change Notice (RCN)" and "Process Change Requirements (PCR)" processes, including the cost estimates.

  • Ensures that production activities are properly translated into billing element volumes by analyzing the production and billing processes.

  • In collaboration with relationship managers, manages the development and maintenance of competitive analysis and market research of competing products and services to identify customer needs and trends.

  • Manages the on-going research to track, monitor and analyze product performance, profitability and contribution.

  • Reviews strategic product and market perspectives; evaluating long term effects and anticipating changes. Spearheads efforts to electronify paper items and convert items to online bill payment (eLockbox - Credit Gateway). Investigates new technologies that, if implemented, could improve production outcomes and profitability.

  • Works and collaborates with Treasury Management lockbox product managers when appropriate.

REQUIRED

  • 10 years of related work experience.

  • Comprehensive to expert knowledge of the assigned business line and technical marketing skills.

  • Strong product management, design and development skills.

  • Strong knowledge of product/program development, pricing, implementation and strategic analysis.

  • Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated marketing and marketing research skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of competitive market, operations and various products and services within assigned area.

  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong financial and competitive analysis and PC skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • Very strong abilities to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.

Working collaboratively with the Director of Advice Quality Strategy & Delivery and other senior leaders within the group, as well as other key partners; perform product management functions in support of the development and launch of Advice Quality products and services that achieve Advice Quality's mission to improve client experience, lower risk, and drive growth by aligning investments to client goals and risk tolerance. Ensure key stakeholders are engaged and shepherd new products/services through the product committee approval process. Work with partners to identify how best to position the Advice Quality products/services and market them to the WFA Financial Advisors. Partner with the Advice Quality product owners to identify enhancements to existing products/services by collecting feedback from the Field as well as competitive intelligence. Support the Advice Quality leadership team by creating management reporting processes to provide insights on where each of the products/services/tools is in the development lifecycle.
