About the Team

Workday launched data preparation into the market in 2017 and have customers that are actively utilizing this area of the product. Our goal is to extend the existing capabilities to offer improved cleansing and transformation capabilities to improve the confidence and efficiency of the data administrator persona. This is an exciting area of growth at Workday and the team is filled with high caliber, collaborative, and passionate product managers. About the Role

We are looking for a senior product manager to expand our data preparation capabilities. You will collaborate with design, engineering, data science, and other product managers in order to evolve this area of Workday. As this role will have a user interface that doesn't require the user to create any code to perform ETL functions, you will collaborate closely with designers and user researchers in order to build a great customer experience that prioritizes both functionality and usability.

What You Will Do

  • You will to get into the technical details with engineers and data scientists as you discuss SQL-equivalents and design "smart" features using statistical functions, machine learning algorithms, and other programming techniques.

  • Understand customer use cases and advocate for user requirements in this capacity to providing rich end-to-end analytical capabilities.

  • Form a deep partnership with customer community.

  • Develop excellent working relationships with customers, Sales, Presales, Customer Success Management, Product Marketing, and other teams close to Workday customers.

  • Use your analytics and ETL experience to build transformation pipelines.

  • Identify, specify, and prioritize features and capabilities through direct input with customers, analysts, developers and architects and your knowledge of the domain.

  • Take initiative to establish the vision and roadmap for your area of the Workday analytics platform, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders.

  • Act as the Product Owner in one or more scrum teams, setting the vision for the team, writing and prioritizing user stories, grooming the backlog, keeping the team focused, and communicating to stakeholders regularly.

  • Be the product champion externally, and passionate voice of the customer internally.

  • Program Management juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, deliver results.

About You

  • You have experience as a product manager in enterprise software required.

  • You have ETL experience.

  • You are a fast learner, detail oriented and must enjoy fast paced work environments.

  • You have excellent analytical, collaboration, verbal and written skills.

  • You have experience working with clients and participating in customer-facing situations.

  • You have experience with web technologies or SaaS.

  • BA / BS degree or equivalent preferably with Computer Science or Computer Engineering major.

Web development tools & object oriented technology such as; J2EE, Java, Javascript, JDBC and DHTML. Working knowledge of Cloud computing strategies, business models, and issues.
