What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with a passion for user experience to help people tell stories with their data. You are a strong customer advocate and work closely with peers in engineering, design, and other disciplines to help our customers share their insights. You are passionate, self-directed, and have an innate desire to overcome challenges and get things done. You build strong relationships and care deeply about creating software that makes a positive impact on the world.

Some of the things you'll be doing include...

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for how our customer present their insights through dashboard applications and storytelling.

  • Actively engage with the Tableau community, field, and customers to understand the scenarios and features that delight our users.

  • Apply your UX passion and prowess to partner successfully with designers to bring the right customer experience to the product area.

  • Deliver vision and requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification.

  • Scope, prioritize, and coordinate activities with development teams.

  • Be the evangelist for your team's mission and priorities. Help customers and others in our organization understand the team's vision.

  • Set a high bar for the ease of use and quality of experience.

  • Present Tableau product capabilities, vision, value propositions, and roadmap briefings to customers, prospects, the Tableau sales team and at other public events.

  • Become a Tableau and Visual Data Analysis expert

Who you are

  • Experienced. You have 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on user interface or presentation.

  • Customer-focused. You love speaking with customers and learning more about their product needs. You are passionate about enabling new scenarios and experiences for them.

  • Self-starter. You are intrinsically motivated, and gifted at driving projects from start to finish.

  • Strong Communicator. You have an innate ability to communicate both business and technical topics to diverse audiences. You evangelize the team's mission and represent your team's priorities.

  • Data Enthusiast. You have a strong desire to help people see and understand data. You believe in Tableau's mission and are excited to play a part in it.

  • Technical. You are able to go deep into technology and relate technical enhancements to customer use cases.

  • Evangelist. You are an evangelist and will be tasked with presenting your priorities to internal and external parties.
