Summary of Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager is accountable for the profitability and growth of the Lubrizol Advanced Materials rheology modifier platform. Creates the overall product line strategy via collaboration with all GBUs. Develops skills and capabilities of the Personal, Home, and Health Care rheology modifier product managers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop a global product line strategy that is aligned with the business unit, market and technology strategies

  • Provide guidance for product line positioning and pricing

  • Manage product portfolio and life cycle to maximize growth and financial performance of the product lines

  • Provide annual product line forecast and drive global capacity planning

  • Ensure product line project portfolio and innovation support strategy and is properly resourced in PHHC

  • Develop competitive intelligence programs and the corresponding counter strategies to maintain value, and product and price leadership positions in the marketplace

  • Champion product line and proactively communicate plans and programs

  • Represents businesses with operations to maximize service levels to external customers

  • Develops process and policies to solve cross business unit issues

  • Support and develop rheology product managers in PHHC

Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, chemistry or engineering preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience with at least 5 years combined experience between operations and commercial roles

  • Global, strategic, and business acumen, demonstrated through exceptional financial results

  • Experience leading cross functional teams

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Development of team members
