The Senior Product Manager is a marketing brand leader for Orapharma's dental portfolio (Arestin, Neutrasal, OSSIX, etc.). This includes executing marketing plans, strategies and tactics; providing strong sales support, market analyses and ad-hoc marketing reports; working with internal and external stakeholders to drive brand positioning and messaging; executing new product launches.

This position requires extensive product launch experience, intellectual curiosity, the ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the launch of new products

  • Participate in the development of effective marketing strategies and tactics

  • Responsible for marketing tactics to meet or exceed sales and margin expectations

  • Participate in life cycle planning for assigned brands, including preparation for any line extensions

  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication to drive the understanding of opportunities, best practices, market position and customer opinions

  • Serve as a liaison between Marketing and the U.S. Sales Team.

  • Interface with product line consultants and key opinion leaders

  • Establish metrics for all marketing programs

  • Campaign management of assigned products, including development of promotional and campaign materials, ad copy, ads, product brochures, sales aids, multimedia materials, technical articles, trade show demonstrations and promotional events

Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS required. MBA a plus.

  • 7+ years of sales/marketing experience-surgical/medical/ dental field preferred. Successful branded Rx product launch and sales experience are beneficial

  • Working knowledge of marketing theory, principles and practices within the pharmaceutical industry (i.e., regulatory environment, pricing, distribution, promotion, customer needs)

  • Strong analytic skills

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership skills

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully coordinating the efforts and results of multiple functional areas

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and workload planning skills

This is an impactful role that sets the strategic direction for the business regarding key initiatives that drive brand performance, with direction from senior management. This position builds and executes plans to deliver on short-term and long-term financial goals, all while maintaining the needs of the product category. In this role, you will have the ability to make key decisions, including but not limited to: general trends impacting the business, competitive assessments, and an understanding of both consumers and customers. P-touch has been a strong brand for over 30 years Product Management & Business Development * Manage the overall product strategy & product life-cycle within the assigned segment(s) * Collaborate with senior management to ensure go-to-market strategy is aligned with any corresponding segments * Set the strategic direction for the business, including product marketing decisions on advertising, promotions, product changes, product development, pricing, retail programs, and other key initiatives that drive performance * Lead new product innovation and defensive strategies in partnership with global headquarters * Act as subject matter expert on assigned segments, including in-depth knowledge on customers (channel partners & end-users), buying habits, and consumer wants/needs * Define corrective actions and formulate marketing support requirements to improve business objectives * Collaborate with cross-functional marketing & sales teams to develop customer-specific strategies * Brainstorm initiatives & programs from a business development perspective with the goal of increasing revenue * Develop a strong value proposition for the assigned segment in the supplies category, leveraging research and competitive advantage * Focus on assortment optimization of supplies category both in B&M and eCom while seeking incremental opportunities to increase sales * Partner with eCom team on maximizing content and share with special focus on Amazon Material Development * Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders (including international) to produce all necessary marketing materials, including but not limited to, launch announcements, brochures, & FAQs * Execute on determined marketing initiatives, producing necessary deliverables, class-of-trade material, and coordinating assistance from various support units Business Analytics & Reporting * Proactively evaluate and analyze assigned segments for all classes of trade, providing insight and recommendations to the business * Track sales results as compared to budget, organize the relevant information, and report out to team members * Facilitate regular forecast meetings with sales teams on all assigned segments * Review Stackline data and determine plan to maintain product ratio with key retailers * Set market-segment KPI's and determine necessary actions to achieve them; follow through on execution Collaboration, Presentations, & Training * Act as primary contact for Japan Headquarters as related to assigned segments * Train team members on products regularly, including the development of training materials and associated presentations to be delivered * Support sales team in preparing assortment decisions and create presentations with guidance from internal team Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Business, Marketing, or related field * Minimum of 7 years of Product Marketing Management preferably in consumer electronics or similar industry * Proven track record of growing business within large accounts (Office Super Stores, On-line and Consumer Electronics accounts) * Ability to create and present strong sales and marketing strategy presentations with an in-depth understanding of sales/marketing principles * Strong quantitative skills and the ability to analyze data * Ability to lead cross-functional teams on key projects Brother Offers: * A competitive base salary * Rich and comprehensive benefits package * Casual dress environment * Tuition reimbursement: Up to 10k yearly * Access to learning and development online and in-person classes * A fun and supportive culture Brother International Corporation ("Brother") is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or make employment decisions on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable state or federal laws.
