Role Summary

As a member of the Analytics Platform team, within the Data Science CoE, the Analytics Platform Advisory manager is responsible for driving the adoption and growth of Cigna's advanced analytics and data science platform across a global community of data scientists, business analysts and data engineers.

The Platform Advisory Manager will engage the broader analytics and data science platform user community to drive user onboarding and alignment of platform capability with use cases that accelerate Cigna's strategic initiatives across clinical and provider domains. Reporting to the Head of Analytics Platform, this role is accountable for executing on growth and adoption initiatives that increase users, usage and use case enablement across the Global Data & Analytics organization. Strong candidates for this role include those with a consultative mindset and experience in Product Marketing, Product Evangelism, Technology Consulting or Developer Advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and evangelist for the analytics platform, cultivating awareness and traction in enabling users and use cases

  • Organize and manage analytics platform communities of practice and user forum initiatives

  • Advocate for data scientist and business analyst needs clearly and compellingly to the rest of the platform's product team

  • Interact with prospective and current platforms users and partners to gather and analyze use case needs and feedback, discuss new features, and present platform roadmap

  • Prepare product documentation and best practices in terms of user guides and collateral

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, developer advocacy or technology community building within the data and analytics landscape

  • Passionate about user community outreach and research with a good balance of technical knowledge, business acumen and a customer-first mindset

  • Excellent story teller with superior verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Deep expertise in relevant domains such as analytics, data science and big data

  • Experience working with external vendors of data and technology

  • Proven relationship builder with a strong consultative and collaborative skills

  • Experience in cloud and "cloud native" analytics products with the ability to recognize the opportunities and challenges facing data and analytics infrastructures

  • Strategic, big-picture thinking with strong business acumen and high degree of creativity in identify use case opportunities for products, services and new processes

  • Experience in Healthcare data domains is preferred (provider, payer, medical, pharmaceutical and/or health services)

  • Experience driving enablement and adoption of platform business models is preferred

This is a highly visible and key role within the organization spanning many activities from strategic to tactical in defining and executing the product strategy. To work effectively as a Senior Product Manager, the position involves executing in the following areas: Market analysis/awareness * Develop a deep understanding of market segments and complex customer needs and effectively translates to clear marketing requirements for product development. * Track complex market dynamics and competitive products and develops strategies to counter competitive strengths and exploit competitor weaknesses. * Develop forecasts, analyze current volumes and predict future volumes and trends of Omnicell products. * Collect, analyze, prioritize and respond to product feature requests for existing and new products * Work closely with existing Product Management to develop clear, forward-looking product integration strategies and to eliminate duplicate development efforts. Market Development * Identify new product ideas and improvements for the product line, build the appropriate business case to justify the investment, and manage the process to gain approval for project funding. * Leverage strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of the P&L to develop strategies and programs to drive increases in revenue and profit. * Deliver compelling internal and external presentations on status and future strategies for the product.
