The Tribology, Stylus and Optical Metrology (TSOM) division is seeking a Senior Product Line Manager. The TSOM division supports surface profilers and tribology test equipment. As Senior Product Line Manager, you will be responsible to drive White Light Interferometry optical metrology product line supporting product marketing activities, shaping roadmap and managing junior product line personnel. You will have a strong focus on continuing to lead your team in penetration of the semiconductor market through high value metrology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops product requirements and specifications for existing BU technology - product extension, derivative product

  • Supports the development of market requirements and promotion for specific products or product lines including strategy and product definition, requirements, analysis and pricing

  • Support product issues with the factory and communicates shipment or product issues to the field

  • Provides primary business planning interface to Sales, Operations, and Finance teams for marketing process

  • Provides and coordinates Sales and Marketing case inputs for product life cycle process

  • Supports the development product roadmaps, product strategy and product launches

  • Supports with the PnL and KPIs for the optical product

  • Responsible for product line business plans and roadmaps, including leading competitive analysis, and formulating product positioning including price-value positioning and competitive positioning.

  • Identifies customer needs, general market and application needs, leads new product concept definition and assesses attractiveness of new opportunities and potential market size mobilizing worldwide network of Sales and Sales Applications teams

  • Define and execute penetration strategies in key accounts with support of local sales team and internal Application Development Team

  • Manages marketing forecasting and business processes including:

  • Annual long-range planning, monthly production planning, and weekly booking forecasts and revenue management reviews.

  • Product price book administration, SAP product configuration, Demo unit budgeting and delivery, and manage customer specials

  • Creates and manages Marketing Requirement Specifications (MRS) for new products and drives Product Lifecycle (PLC) process

  • Defines product requirements based on inputs from customers, Sales, market intelligence and technical inputs from R&D

  • Develops business cases (KPI)

  • Owns marketing input into PLC process and is responsible for overseeing product launch and product penetration strategies

  • Sets product pricing guidelines for existing product lines and for new product line

  • Supports Sales in answering technical questions regarding product configurations and specifications.

  • Supports Sales in facilitating the development of Sales collateral (e.g, Sales presentations, brochures, applications notes, etc.) through Application Development Teams

  • Pre-sales technical escalation of product technology questions

  • Drives promotion plans and tactical sales initiatives

  • Interacts with Engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product lines.

  • Responds to Sales tactical marketing requests for product information, discounts, etc.

Qualifications

  • Business-oriented, pragmatic and comfortable acting quickly and decisively

  • Effective understanding of financial concepts relating to contractual arrangements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, particularly at end of each quarter

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with a global sales force

  • Exceptional and professional written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated product launch experience

  • Ability to interface with challenging clients, engaging in a constructive manner.

  • Experience in problem solving, coordinating cross-functional solutions and responding to non-standard customer requests.

  • Experience with complex, multi-million-dollar contracts desired.

  • Pro-active, results driven. Strong leadership skills that can drive the organization from a marketing perspective

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Product Line Manager, preferably in semiconductor related product portfolio

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in semiconductor related product portfolio

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or physics; preferred advanced degree in in engineering, math, physics or business

  • Travel up to 30% of time (domestic and international)

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $131,000 and $235,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
