Role Summary

Cox Gaming is seeking a senior product leader who will oversee the innovation, development, execution, and go to market strategy for core products within Cox Gaming.

Reporting to the Head of Cox Gaming, this leader will help to develop and grow the Gaming Product and Services Portfolio. The Sr. Product Lead will play four distinct roles:

  • Player Advocate: Have a deep understanding of relevant player pain-points and is passionate about developing solutions for addressing them.

  • The Technologist: Have a detailed knowledge of gaming technology and services, understand gaps and opportunities within the gaming space, and construct creative solutions to capitalize on them.

  • The Leader: Lead the end-to-end product roadmap, ensuring growth milestones are achieved and risks and opportunities are addressed.

  • The Operator: Drive products and initiatives from concept to reality with minimal supervision.

*Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

As a Senior Product Leader for Cox Gaming, you will:

  • Support the execution of the Cox Gaming strategic roadmap and shape the direction of the business based on analysis of trends and player needs, partnerships, competition and emerging technologies

  • Develop Gaming concepts and the go to market strategy for player-oriented solutions while identifying and evaluating new growth opportunities

  • Develop new product concepts and define product vision and strategy.

  • Understand the technology landscape and develop technology breakthroughs and developments that may adequately solve for customer needs via partner discovery and close collaboration with the product and technology team.

  • Drive implementation through analyzing performance and present performance insights and findings backed by data to update strategic hypotheses.

  • Leadership and management of day-to-day interactions with vendors, strategic partners, suppliers associated with strategic initiative(s).

  • Work closely with a cross-functional team including product, finance, legal, technology, marketing, operations, and others while incubating such initiative(s)

  • Evangelize Cox Gamings vision and capabilities to establish and maintain Coxs position as a respected thought leader in the industry.

  • Develop and maintains positive relationships with key and senior stakeholders across various Cox businesses.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

  • 5+ years related experience in product management within the gaming industry or consulting/strategy disciplines

  • Genuine intellectual curiosity, ability to learn new facts and concepts quickly and comprehensively, and to synthesize and communicate effectively to others in both verbal and written forms

  • Employ a high level of critical thinking and analysis bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or departmental problems.

  • Strong team player and ability to collaborate with colleagues, navigate relationships in growth verticals and the broader technology ecosystem, and ensure that players have an excellent experience engaging with Cox

  • Ability to operate independently to navigate tight deadlines, juggle a long list of competing priorities, and operate in a dynamic environment without compromising sharp attention to detail

  • Intellectual horsepower, desire, and proven ability to learn new domains and technologies quickly, energetic "can-do" attitude and commitment to excellence

  • Strong and demonstrable project/product management experience and large team facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically to develop and launch products and solutions that support our strategic vision

  • Preferred:*

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired

  • MBA or equivalent

  • Experience in start-up businesses and/or end-to-end new product development experience, with entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience managing distributed teams

  • Experience in fast-paced, start-up environments

  • Business understanding and working knowledge of the cable /communication industry, systems, and networks, as well as current and emerging technologies and standards is very beneficial

  • Understanding of related industries in the ecosystem and how they impact the gaming industry, e.g., high tech, cloud, low-latency, etc.

  • Willingness to travel
