About The Role:

The Product Design team at TTG is seeking a Senior Product Designer to elevate our core experiences. The ideal candidate is creative, self-driven, curious, open, bold, and excited to create impactful journeys.

Reporting directly into the Director of Product Design in NYC, you'll be responsible for improvements to our website, seat selection and checkout experiences. You will work most closely with our Checkout and Web teams to create clarity, ease and delight for anyone looking to experience theatre.

Please note: this is a full-time position and qualified candidates must be based in the greater New York City area. We encourage collaboration by working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, while also offering flexibility for employees to choose where they work for the rest of the week.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage your roadmap, workload and deadlines without much oversight. Working with your product counterparts directly to determine priority and timelines

  • Evaluate the relative priority of your projects, challenging if it's being invested most impactfully

  • Collaborate with product leaders to challenge our roadmap and ensure we're prioritizing our initiatives appropriately

  • Develop a deep understanding of our core customers, they're experiences, what they value and what their biggest challenges are

  • Help maintain our growing design library in Figma and continuously look for ways to improve our processes

  • Contribute to rethinking how a customer discovers and gets excited about a show, to how the debate and decide which dates and seats to purchase tickets for

  • Support with organizing creative brainstorming sessions, sketch and design prototypes rapidly, run user research interviews and socialize learnings/insights

  • Ensure that we not only increase conversion but that we create industry-leading experiences

We're Looking for Someone With:

  • 5+ years of experience working at high growth organizations

  • Strong ability to create sketches/wireframes, user experience journeys and prototypes in a non-precious way that helps align our thinking

  • Thorough critical thinking skills to take complex workflows and simplify them into customer-friendly and easy experiences

  • Follow existing design patterns with a critical eye towards type, hierarchy, spacing, contrast. Along with an ability to balance dense screens that feel focused and light

  • Inspired creativity - the ability to cast a wide net and not get too attached to any one idea is critical

  • Effective competitors audits

  • Strong articulation of ideas and rationale for why and why not a design works

  • Active contributor to design rituals like weekly standups, design reviews and retros

  • Proactive, curious and engaged personality

  • E-commerce, ticketing or checkout experiences is a plus

  • Passion for experiencing live events such as theatre, music, comedy, art is a plus!

$140,000 - $165,000 a year

Salary ranges are determined by competitive market data for our size, stage, and industry, experience and location of the applicant, and our internal salary banding, which is reviewed at least annually.

We aim to be as transparent, equitable, and fair as possible. Qualified candidates and our Talent Acquisition team will discuss salary and benefits in the initial conversation, and final salary will be determined after candidates complete the interview process. We expect that the majority of candidates who are offered roles at TTG fall healthily throughout the range based on the above factors.
