Product Designers architect and design system-wide product experiences that are coherent, intuitive and innovative, delighting the most of technical audiences. We are the champion for customer-centric design, work hand-in-hand with product managers and engineers, and shape the product experience for thousands of users from small startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Outcomes

  • Gain a deep understanding of Databricks business objectives, users, market opportunities, and competition. Become well-versed on the Databricks product and its personas (Data scientists, data engineers, and administrators)

  • Deliver designs for Databricks' product and contribute to the overall direction of the product

  • Lead system-wide product design initiatives to design compelling product experiences that can be measured and drive business results

  • Work closely with Engineering & Product Management to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience.

  • Actively seek & provide design feedback and collaboratively improve the design process

Competencies/requirement

  • A system thinker who has the vision to design the big picture, and the tactical ability to break it down so that engineering can succeed in building it incrementally

  • A minimum of 5 years of product design work experience

  • A designer with strong tradecraft, who is at ease drawing from a vast toolkit to get the job done

  • A natural communicator that thrives on collaboration with others who enjoys communicating their vision and thought processes

  • A storyteller who delivers insights about people and behavior - both verbally and visually, from qualitative and quantitative user research.

  • A bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent with specialization in HCI, Interaction Design, computer science, or related disciplines

  • A portfolio showcasing the end-to-end design project, from inception to production

  • Experience with the following is a nice-to-have:

  • Experience designing products in the Big Data space

  • Experience coding React, SQL, CSS, and/or Python

  • Experience building a design system

Our approach dynamically adjusts to market conditions, recommending choices that reduce corporate travel spend while providing a good experience for travelers.</p><p>We are looking for a Product Designer with a focus on beautiful UI to be a pivotal member of our product team. You will be working closely with the Head of Design &amp; UX and Front-end developers who use lots of interesting technologies to develop core features used across the platform.
