We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Product Analyst , you will play a pivotal role in supporting our internal agency GAIA by driving profitable growth through impactful lead buying strategies, commission budget management, and relationship management for both Alternative Distribution and National Accounts. What does SENIOR PRODUCT ANALYST do?

Modeling & Data Analytics:

  • Identify and solve complex problems by collecting and analyzing statistical, financial, and competitive information.

  • Detect and communicate data anomalies.

  • Develop reports to streamline processes and maximize production.

  • Utilize Power BI to create dashboard reporting to track KPI's

  • Utilize SQL queries to extract data and create reports

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on Data Analytics for Alternative Distribution and National Accounts.

Profitability & Growth:

  • Provide support to the team in achieving written premium targets.

  • Monitor key performance indicators on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • Use forecast tools to predict future premiums and number of policies.

  • Partner with Sales to maximize product changes and provide tools for achieving production goals.

  • Analyze premium rates, loss experience, and retention to support underwriting profitability.

New State Projects & Vendor Support:

  • Support the launch of new states and channels, focusing on bidding strategy formulation and adjusting for profitability and growth.

  • Provide reports and data to vendors and channel partners to optimize performance.

Additional Projects:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Analysts I and II.

  • Undertake other projects as needed.

What is required?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Math, Statistics, Insurance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with personal auto insurance products.

  • Product Analyst experience, specifically with direct to consumer strategy focus preferred

  • Power BI experience, SQL, and Python experience is required.

  • Non-standard insurance experience is a plus.

  • Excellent data visualization skills.

  • Experience supporting online or call center business is a plus.

  • Strong machine learning skills are preferred.

  • SEO and SEM experience is preferred.

Other skills and abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present analytical work to Senior Management.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to gather, extract, monitor, and understand information.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance quantitative analysis with competitor behaviors.

  • Excellent project management skills.
