Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN is hiring a Senior Product Analyst to join our Health Design & Sustainability team in Eagan, MN. The Senior Product Analyst will research and prioritize high-value feature opportunities, and perform regular assessments to measure product performance against established goals and benchmarks. In addition, the role includes providing day-to-day operational support and other ad-hoc tasks as needed, to ensure our products not only align with our overall strategic objectives but are also serving our members.
As a Senior Product Analyst, you should have excellent research and problem-solving skills, a comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle and the ability to communicate effectively. You will ensure ongoing product support which may include story writing, documentation, and data analysis. The Senior Product Analyst will also help interpret trend data and provide input around opportunities for improvement.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of Business Analyst and/or Product Analyst experience in the healthcare industry. This candidate will be self-motivated who can proactively transform insights into actions for complex business problems.
A Day In The Life
Responsible for gathering and interpreting data from various sources, identifying key insights, and providing actionable recommendations to drive product development and enhancement.
Collaborate with team(s) and Stakeholder(s) to discover and deliver the best solution to the market problem(s) presented by the Product Manager or Product Owner (business).
Working with a variety of internal and external partners to elicit and document business requirements for user stories.
Help Product Owner and scrum team to plan work in upcoming sprints, considering a variety of factors such as priority, effort/cost, complexity, dependencies, and business and system impacts
Provide input into complex business cases and vendor relationships and document the technology/business needs into product backlog stories/items.
Attends sprint ceremonies and is available to team during the sprint for clarifications and acceptance of user stories.
Aid where needed throughout sprints for the development team, such as answering questions on requirements and providing input on testing strategy.
Develop and maintain documentation of system and business processes.
Build strong relationships with team members, business users, stakeholders, subject matter experts, vendors, to help navigate through problems, decisions, and related implications.
Act as a mentor for other product analysts and scrum team members
Required Skills & Experiences
5+ years of related (Product Analyst and/or Business Analyst) professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties
Nice To Have
Bachelor's degree in information technology or business, technical degree or a relevant field
Experience in process improvement with high level of execution focus
Clinical experience
One of the following certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe PM/PO or CSM
Experience with writing complex business/functional requirements and experience implementing Agile methodologies

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
