Overview

Glossier is looking for a Product Analyst to define business problems and prioritize impactful data solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for better decision-making and help drive the smart use of data in the organization. As part of the broader Data Team, you will work alongside data scientists, data engineers and BI engineers all focused on building a data-driven, people-powered beauty ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Provide insights into features to inform the product roadmap

  • Opportunity-size potential products and design and analyze A/B tests to measure their effect

  • Combine web data with survey results and user research to uncover patterns and trends in customer behavior

  • Define, analyze, and measure key performance indicators and socialize facts (and corresponding caveats) to business stakeholders

  • Proactively identify key strategic questions and problems and offer productive solutions focused on long-term and scalable benefits

  • Communicate complicated topics across the organization in a way that is friendly and accessible to a diverse audience

  • Collaborate with BI engineers and data scientists to design and execute on long-term solutions

  • Become comfortable working with our technology stack

  • Build dashboards and visualizations to track engagement and usage trends

  • Take an active role in informing the Product roadmap through insights and analyses
    12 MONTH EXPECTATIONS

  • Collaborate with team to deliver data solutions that diagnose the root causes of business challenges

  • Take a lead role in defining what success looks like for our product and feature roadmap

  • Help define the Data team's roadmap and goals for 2020 and beyond

  • Champion a data-driven culture by empowering others to proactively use data to make responsible decisions and ask smart questions

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, data science or business analytics

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in marketing or product analytics

  • Expert level knowledge of SQL and relational databases

  • Possess strong verbal, written and visual presentation skills, with an emphasis on storytelling

  • Ability to think critically about problems through multiple perspectives and assert demonstrable hypotheses

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, delivering flawless execution; transparent about methods

  • Familiarity with Github and product analytics solutions (e.g. Looker, Segment, Amplitude etc.)

  • Detail oriented; high level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity

  • Enthusiastic, creative, entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, willing to proactively engage other team members in fostering a strong collaborative team-oriented environment

Senior Product Marketing Analyst What We're Looking For: Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing the Senior Analyst, Product Marketing will coordinate and develop assessment of all potential 2U partnerships (new programs and existing program product enhancements), and help drive the portfolio strategy of 2UGrad. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: * Partner to develop new product opportunities and enhancements, provide data driven recommendations for positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation. * Conduct research and analysis to support the development of optimal program structures for new program opportunities, product offering opportunities, and product enhancement recommendations * Contribute to the design work of the "ideal" new product * Provide analysis and support to define and communicate the market position of a particular degree within the context of the overall product strategy * Drive the production of a new product's "Go to Market" strategy * Utilize data to provide strategic recommendations to department leads on financial analysis, cost identification, and expense analysis * Drive technical enhancements to reporting and forecasting * Design and build presentations communicating product recommendations * Support senior leadership with ad-hoc product analysis * Analyze operating results and identify key financial and operating areas to be addressed * Evaluate new opportunities beyond the traditional DGP – this includes certificate and international programs Things That Should Be in Your Background: * Bachelor's degree required * 2-4 years of experience, preferably in marketing, research, consulting, and/or finance * Experience using information from multiple sources to develop compelling narratives using data * Strong quantitative analysis skills and an ability to understand and explain complex data * Analytical thinker with great attention to detail.
