We're looking for intelligent, driven professionals to join our Strategy & Analytics team. The team is responsible for leveraging data and market research to drive both real-time insights and long-term business strategy recommendations across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and drive forward recommendations. You will help shape the direction of Affirm's merchant financing products by using data-driven insights to build and optimize our e-commerce conversion rates, identify opportunities, and prioritize product and engineering initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Partner cross-functionally with our Retail Product and Engineering teams, build a rapport to be a trusted advisor for Product Management and business leadership

  • Define and analyze key data sets to understand performance of our financing products

  • Own end-to-end product analytics workflow, including defining success and performance metrics, socializing them across the organization, and creating actionable dashboards and reports

  • Proactively explore data to identify opportunities to help accelerate product development

  • Address ambiguous problems and formulate hypotheses into actionable and well-designed A/B experiments

  • Collaborate on developing our product roadmap and making product and business decisions based on your analysis

  • Partner with Engineering to optimize data quality and improvements

  • Become an expert in the retail financing and e-commerce space and understand how our main competitors are positioned

What We Look For

  • Passion and drive to disrupt both the retail and lending industry for the better

  • 3+ years of experience in an analytically rigorous role, and preferably 2+ years of product analytics experience with a strong foundation in statistics, economics, behavioral psychology, and/or experimentation

  • Strong working knowledge of analytical tools, such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel

  • Compelling data storytelling and data visualization skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally in team environments

  • A passion for finding insights in data and driving change based on those insights

  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment

  • Humility and team player - you go out of your way to help teammates

About the role: Ground Truth & Mapping Operations at Cruise produces a variety of products, such as annotated datasets for machine learning and detailed maps, that help our vehicles navigate the world. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst that will work with diverse stakeholders to bring exceptional analytical rigor to our operations. This role will tackle a variety of challenges, including but not limited to: * Crafting and executing creative analytics to better understand the workings of our large and disparate workforce * Collaborating with engineers to understand quality requirements of our data products and monitoring outputs to ensure we meet those standards * Understanding data visibility required by the team and working with tooling engineers to build necessary analytics features * Utilizing Looker to analyze data for day to day work functions The ideal candidate for this role is fluent in data manipulation & statistics, comfortable with providing technical and product recommendations, and adept at working cross-functionally to support ideas from inception to launch.
