Job Description

Vogue is seeking a Senior Producer to join our dynamic, fast-paced video team. In this role the Senior Producer will be a leader on our production team and work closely with the production team on all video productions. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of creating and executing high concept digital videos, extensive knowledge of production best practices, and a proven history of delivering remarkable results.

Primary Responsibilities:

Production Oversight

  • As guided by the Director of Content Production / Supervising Producer, this individual may be responsible for producing shoots, and being on-set. Manages production load-in/strike.

  • This individual manages the more challenging, complex and higher level productions within their division.

  • Assists with the day to day management of projects within all stages of production.

  • Responsible for all kick-off documentations and project kick-off meetings

  • Manages and provides feedback to all Producers, APs, Researchers and Script Writers.

  • Responsible for reviewing or creating daily shoot calendars, updates, logistics and tracking.

  • In partnership with VP, Digital Video English and Programming and Development Leads, capable of reviewing, editing, and approving preliminary and final treatments, outlines, shooting scripts, scripts, casting requests and reviews, production schedules, budgets of all assigned programs.

  • Responsible for administering tasks and ensuring they are completed with excellence. Ability to also execute administrative duties and create the following, but not limited to: spreadsheets, presentations, note-taking, processing invoices, updating calendars, production schedules, etc.

  • Participate in brainstorms and creative sessions.

  • Is responsible for reviewing call sheets.

  • This individual must be able to execute with confidence in the field and in-studio, seamlessly, often relying solely on written treatments. Can take a creative treatment and bring it to life with great success.

  • Experience or understanding of how to work with talent. If necessary, This individual must be able to create relaxed on-set environments that allow talent, crews, staff, to be comfortable and confident. Able to ensure everyone is relaxed, inspired and prepared in order to execute successful shoots.

  • Work back and oversee the post production process, responsible for overseeing all creative notes through the process, and ensure deadlines are being met. Able to review all cuts to provide quality control and feedback.

  • Work closely with the Director of Content Production / Supervising Producer to ensure producers are hitting deadlines, creative tags, and the overall expectations of their roles throughout the entirety of the production.

Leadership

  • Ability to help train and onboard new employees and provide coaching. Work closely with the Production Management Operations team to get each employee setup for success. Positive leadership that supports retention attitude. Active in decreasing attrition. Actions adequately encourage/support subordinates personal/professional growth.

  • Gather and submit production and post production performance feedback to your Director of Content Production / Supervising Producer.

  • Manage and work collaboratively with the production team.

  • Must be able to lead higher level or complex meetings and calls, when applicable.

Production Workflows, Budgets, and Overall Management

  • Work alongside the Director of Content Production / Supervising Producer to come up with new workflows to help make productions more efficient. Organize meetings with producers and creative leads to discuss series tags or new workflows, if applicable.

  • As guided by the Director of Content Production / Supervising Producer, this individual may be responsible for the first draft of the budget and submission to the Production Management team for review and approval. Working closely with Production Management to advise or suggest crew and maintain a crew list for your division.

  • Work closely with Production Management to ensure all logistics and legal matters for shoots are being taken care of in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for updating all workflow documents should there be a change to the process.

  • Capable of filling in across assignments should project management coverage be necessary.

  • Additional responsibilities as needed and assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • A minimum of 5 years experience producing and developing digital videos on various platforms.

  • A demonstrated track record in creative execution.

  • A demonstrated track record of high efficiencies.

  • Works well under pressure and with managing large teams.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated aptitude to work closely with internal and external producers.

  • Supremely organized. Will provide a calm, knowledgeable voice on complex shoots. or in the day to day management of projects.

  • Dedicated to a specific division, must intuitively understand digital video, as well as lead creative and production for all their projects.

  • Accustomed to leading and working in a fast paced environment, able to multitask, and meet multiple tight deadlines.

  • Strong understanding of production and post-production workflow.

  • Strong experience in concepting, researching, writing.

  • Thorough knowledge of creative, production and delivery processes.

  • Must have strong knowledge and experience with production costs or budget.

  • Must be a master communicator and always a solution-oriented adult in the room.

  • Effectively stimulates growth/development across production team members.

  • Ability to develop content that provokes engagement and business growth.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $73,000-$110,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
