The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, ramp, and continuous improvement of various advanced electromechanical processes used to assemble and test probe cards. As an assembly and test process engineer, you will lead efforts in developing, optimizing, and analyzing assembly and test processes.
This engineer will look inside and outside of our current process and practices and initiate potential projects based on new technology. Interacting with current and potential tooling vendors, the candidate will look for beneficial opportunities to integrate new hardware in an effort to improve quality and/or reduce the cost of test processes.
A successful candidate is expected to demonstrate aspects of engineering process ownership/ingenuity of test, as well as debug, troubleshoot, and test methodology road-mapping + implementation to ensure test coverage of increasingly complicated products.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create assembly recipe and process, provide production support and monitor process health
Interface with design Engineering to implement design for testability and manufacturability
Interface with internal groups to generate overall assembly and test methodology
Manage the qualification of new processes, metrology and equipment
Interface with end users on training and maintenance of equipment
Develop and implement assembly process procedures and protocols, and train operations on new procedures
Provide statistical analysis and analytical reporting of manufacturing processes
Demonstrated capability in SPC and tool monitoring
Comfortable with hand dis/assembly of delicate, precision mechanical components
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
BS Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline. Master's Degree Preferred.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
Proven track record of developing and deploying creative and practical process solutions for high-volume manufacturing
Hands-on experience with process, and hardware development required for advanced electrochemical processes.
Demonstrated experience setting up and sustaining electromechanical equipment, processes, and various metrology methods associated with the control and monitor of such processes.
Proven ability to analyze and make meaningful inferences from large and sometimes incomplete data.
Visual Basic (VBA) experience preferred
Experience in factory automation and metrology preferred
Strong debug/troubleshooting skills of general electronics and interconnects, probe cards a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capability to adapt to the company's changing needs and priorities and be a self-motivated team player.
Willingness to take responsibility and ownership to aggressively focus on problems individually or part of a larger team
