Senior Process Engineer
Provides technical expertise, guidance, and leadership in laboratory testing and equipment sizing for sedimentation and filtration processes. Expected to assist with testing, training, development, and analyses of designs, processes, or procedures.
Acts as a technical advisor for a variety of solid/liquid separation equipment so that technical process issues are handled correctly and efficiently in line with customer requirements and objectives.
Prepares, performs, and reports on laboratory and pilot scale testing programs to determine optimum equipment type, sizing, and operating parameters.
Carries out process audits, plant visits, customer meetings, and supports commissioning efforts.
Read and interpret process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, arrangement drawings, and specifications.
Manages multiple projects in a team environment while providing oversight to junior engineers.
Presents and publish technical papers and articles.
Skills and Knowledge
BS Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related degree.
Ten (10) years of related mining or chemical experience with solid/liquid separation experience preferred.
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and written. Second language preferred.
Must be able to work in the US.
