Position Responsibilities

IPS is hiring! We are looking for a talented Senior Process Architect to join our industry leading Process Architecture team at our quickly growing office in Dublin, Ireland .

The Senior Process Architect works independently on various projects as assigned by Department Head. He/she may oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on a specialised design. The Senior Process Architect may work on several concurrent projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess the requirements of a project, breaks projects into tasks and works with Project Managers to determine scope of work, budget and staffing.

  • Writes scope of work for architectural design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client.

  • Participates in proposal presentations.

  • Must have experience in facility Master Planning.

  • Must have the ability to interpret a building program and generate varied design concepts.

  • Proven experience interacting and communicating directly with clients. Active participation in industry organizations and related initiatives is strongly preferred (for example: speaking engagements, presenting at industry events and conferences, etc.).

  • Knowledge of applicable building codes. Works with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.

  • Assigns and reviews work of project design team. Checks progress of work and alerts Project Manager about scope changes or requests for additional services.

  • Reviews contractor application for payments and has a thorough understanding of construction process.

  • Coordinates all aspects of project document completion within company and externally with clients and other design professionals. Proficient written and oral communications skills.

  • Prepares or reviews construction budgets based on experience and scope of project.

  • Promotes use of and participates in development of IPS design and production standards.

  • Assists in the education and development of design staff and act as resource for design questions.

  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Extensive previous architectural design experience with equivalent experience in the Life Sciences, (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and/or laboratory) industries for domestic and/or international project types.

  • Bachelors of Architecture Degree from an accredited university/AIA certification preferred.

  • Must be proficient in the use of a computer for design and understand CAD operations.

  • Demonstrated ability as a designer. Ability to interpret a building program and generate varied design concepts. Knowledge of building and zoning codes.

  • Ability to work as a member or leader of a team.

  • Proven time management skills and the ability to work on more than one project at a time.

The area of responsibility encompasses the main paint facility (electrocoat, sealer line, prep booths, parts washer, basecoat, clearcoat, inspection, finesse areas, palin system process areas chassis paint line. Electrocoat, Prime, and Palin System CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: includes Robotics Paint Application/primer (background edits, fluid presets, program adjustments, backup and program restorations, and general support): * Monitor daily activities in cab cleanliness, pre-treatment E-coat, E-coat over, E-coat scuff, sealer and sealer deck prime prep and application oven * Establish best practices in the development of new processes, materials and equipment * Make presentation when required * Document all changes in process, materials and equipment * Establish training requirements and assist in that training * Be able to make independent decisions dealing with the area of responsibility * Update Quality Manual work instruction to comply with ISO 9000 requirements * Comply with all safety regulation/training * Notify proper personnel of any condition, which could hamper quality or production * Paint Color, Clearcoat, Final Inspection CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor processes on a daily basis in the following areas: * Pre-mask and base coat accumulator * Base coat prep booth * Base spray booth * Base coat flash and clean room * Clear coat flash * Clear coat booth * Clear coat oven * Inspection/finesse * Multi-tone prep/sand * Multi-tone mask area * Multi-tone de-mask * Multi-tone spray booth * Paint schemes/charts * Color formulation RATIO DISPENSING EQUIPMENT: * Paint mix rooms and activities associated with those areas * Block house * All application equipment in base and clear coat. * Plastic parts quality * Operation certification board update and sign off as required * Maintain quality manual work instruction to comply with ISO 9000 requirements * Ratio Dispensing equipment * Program all paint parameters * Train production personnel * Troubleshoot system problems ROBOTICS: * Background edits * Fluid presets * Program adjustments * Backup and restore programs * Support production ENVIRONMENTAL: * Attend weekly paint/voe meetings * Support environmental compliance group PROJECTS: * Coordinate process equipment installation * Train personnel as necessary * Establish best practices in the development of new processes, material, and equipment. * Prepare and conduct presentations when required. * Document all changes in 'process, materials and equipment. * Ability to make independent decisions dealing with the area of responsibility. * Maintain and Coordinate projects and worklists. * Comply with all safety regulations/training. * Notify the proper personnel of any condition which could hamper quality or production.
