As the Senior Process Analyst at ICW Group, you will lead and manage cross-functional process improvement initiatives that will drive enterprise projects. As a driver for results you take pride in all you do and own your work. You are a process analyst professional that uses tools and methods such as value stream mapping, BAPs (business assessment process) and waterfall analysis. You will be engaged in enterprise wide Lean and Six Sigma projects to deliver tangible measurements and results in the areas of continuous improvement.

As a Senior Process Analyst, here is what you will be doing:

  • Conducts the required fact gathering and intensive quantitative and qualitative data analysis to document, quantify, and specify process re-engineering efforts.

  • Conducts studies of operations and workflow processes to develop the cost efficient and productive processes; focus on improving productivity or work methods to reduce costs and improving quality and consistency (Value Stream Mapping and BAPs).

  • Works collaboratively with other teams to implement adoption of the improved processes.

  • Responsible for implementing business change activities associated with process improvements to ensure smooth transactions for business unit managers.

  • Measures and tracks the results of the managed projects over time to document realized value.

  • Serves as a catalyst to identify and recommend improved performance through: capacity planning, resource allocation, work simplification, staff scheduling, service level management, revenue enhancement, organizational design, consolidation, performance measurement systems, training, strategic planning, productivity improvement, and expense control.

  • Provides training, guidance, mentorship, and leadership to ensure consistency of approach and quality control for all continuous improvement initiatives at ICW Group.

  • Develops and recommends management planning and control systems to enhance managerial effectiveness by providing objective, qualitative and quantitative performance indices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred (will consider Green Belt)

  • 7+ years' of experience in managing and implementing process improvement efforts with proven successes creating financial models that support project selection

  • Demonstrated ability using JMP or Minitab, SAS, SPSS, or R as well as experience leading waterfall analysis projects and RTP calculations

  • Working knowledge of problem solving tools including Statistical Hypothesis testing, Optimization heuristics, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Simulation and Queueing Analysis.

  • Excellent presentation, oral, written and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and consult with internal and external business contacts

  • Ability to work with a high level of independence yet work cross-functionally with team members.

  • Experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics or related field.

Works with physicians and staff to help design workflow enhancements using centralized SCMG Connect product offerings. Facilitates group discussion to identify workflow enhancements in SCMG physician offices. Creates atmosphere of acceptance for the SCMG Connect product offering. Supports the implementation, ongoing operation and enhancement of SCMG process improvement initiatives related to automating the management of clinical information through a SCMG Connect product offering. Leads the change process in assigned departments throughout SCMG. The Physician Practice Solutions department of SCMG is partnering with the leading healthcare vendors (Allscripts, Dell, Aetna, and others) to implement leading-edge technology solutions--helping to transform healthcare for our 400 independent physician practices. We are delivering solutions that include electronic health records and clinical decision support systems. Sharp Community Medical Group (SCMG) is an association of private practice primary care physicians and specialists who practice in their own private offices located conveniently throughout San Diego County. The Sharp Community Medical Group network includes over 200 primary care physicians and over 700 specialists who currently provide care to more than 137,000 patients. Location This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County; travel to and working from SCMG sites is required. Hours Variable shifts, hours may vary based on departmental needs. Early mornings and late evening shifts may be required. Weekends as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications * Bachelors degree in clinical or process re-design field such as Management Engineering, Nursing, Allied Health, Business Administration, or Health Care Administration is preferred. Relevant work experience in system implementation, system analysis and workflow design may be substituted. * Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a health system including project responsibilities related to process analysis, work re-design activities, as well as Health Information Management expertise in revenue cycle and/or medical record computer applications * Proven ability to identify, understand and document business and/or clinical workflows. * Excellent requirements gathering, analytical and problem solving skills are required as well as the ability to identify, document and communicate decision matrices related to business and/or clinical workflows. * Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines * Experience working with a variety of software applications and proven ability to learn quickly * Ability to lead multidisciplinary work teams to achieve defined project goals. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills that enable interaction comfortably with all levels of management, staff, and physicians * Thorough knowledge of the impact of process analysis and re-design methodologies on the legal, regulatory, ethical, managerial and organizational, principles and standards for ambulatory clinics and health systems. * General knowledge of federal and state medical record statues and regulations.
