  • Evaluate current payments controls & processes and come up with optimizations. Both technical and business process optimization perspective.
  • Provide technical direction for process improvement.
  • Work closely with technology and product teams to establish a framework for process and controls.
Competencies Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Process automation and optimization.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance is a plus.
  • Understanding of controls and control optimization.
  • Minimum 2 years of working with cloud providers AWS/Azure.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience utilizing technology to improve process and eliminate MTPs and EUC.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good knowledge of batch processing, NDM, and MQ.
  • Good knowledge of ETL.
  • Understanding of SWIFT and payment flows is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or SAFe. Agile certification is a plus.
  • A creative and analytical problem solver focused on translating complex business problems into architecturally sound technical solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, and business partners.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Business knowledge in finance/treasury/payments is a plus.

Anyone unable to be vaccinated, either because of a sincerely held religious belief or a disability can request a reasonable accommodation.</p><p>Job Summary</p><p>The Customer Billing department is responsible for the accurate and timely billing of PSE&amp;G's utility customers (Electric, Gas, WorryFree, Outdoor Lighting, etc.). The Billing Analyst team supports Billing Operations by forecasting workloads, tracking daily system and employee performance metrics, and improving daily operations through process improvements and IT Projects.</p><p>This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.</p><p>Job Responsibilities</p><p>Prepare reports (daily, monthly, annually, ad hoc). Actively participate in problem solving initiatives to determine root cause, gap analysis, along with the development and implementation of process improvement recommendations. Provide timely feedback to determine effectiveness of implemented solutions and take corrective action as required. <br><br> Investigate client/customer concerns, issues and problems to determine root causes. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. This position will support PSE&amp;G's Billing Operations, including all of Billing Operations sub-processes. <br><br> Drive operational results working closely with the Billing Management team. The position at times requires travel between both Billing centers (Newark, NJ and Bordentown, NJ) and the successful candidate must be flexible with their work schedule.</p><p>Review/create existing reports, spreadsheets, and/or databases to determine inconsistencies and/or irregularities. Investigate and develop solutions to requests. <br><br> Develop and generate ad hoc reports and scorecard reports from existing systems that support informational needs of management and/or operating personnel. Enhance existing spreadsheets/databases. Collect, summarize and analyze various reports and performance measures. <br><br> Provide timely solutions through direct interaction with the Billing team to develop and modify work process flows. Solicit feedback from users to determine effectiveness of implemented solutions and take corrective action as required. Recommend solutions and develop action plans. <br><br> Drive operational results working closely with the Billing Management team. Play a leadership role in the development, recommendation and implementation of new procedures/process improvements, often via cross-functional teams. Prepare status reports for management, developing appropriate communication materials. <br><br> Provide technical expertise and support to process owners. Drive efficiency and process improvement, utilizing leadership skills, data analysis and strong understanding of the business strategies. Foster the refinement, understanding and enhanced utilization of process measures and benchmarking. <br><br> Understand &amp; maintain Sarbanes Oxley controls. The position at times requires travel between both Billing centers and the successful candidate must be flexible with their work schedule.</p><p>Job Specific Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of related experience.
