The Senior Principal of Technology Strategy is an executive role at Nike, focused on advancing the company's position through strategic technology initiatives. The Senior Principal will work hand-in-hand with other members of the strategy team and our CTO and other technology leaders to craft and execute a technology strategy that differentiates Nike in the global marketplace. This role requires a unique blend of technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and commercial savvy to craft actionable insights that drive Nike's technology strategy forward, promoting speed, scale, and bold growth.
What you will work on
Strategize on the application of emerging technologies (e.g. GenAI, AI/ML) and digital commerce technologies to drive greater automation, build stickier consumer experiences for our Athletes* and enable Nike's product innovation.
Develop and present high-impact strategies with the capability to synthesize technology concepts and communicate insights that drive board-level decision-making.
Spearhead initiatives that utilize technology for faster, more cost-effective, and superior development of Nike's core products.
Drive the modernization of legacy systems with a clear vision of integrating next-gen technologies in direct to consumer and footwear and apparel product creation to maintain competitive advantage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tech and business units, to translate complex concepts and push for swift execution of tech strategies.
Lead meetings with flexibility and adaptability, ensuring agenda control and optimizing outcomes, while being able to spontaneously engage with senior audiences on complex issues.
Cultivate strong advisory relationships, navigating decision-making mechanisms, and building consensus to accelerate strategic initiatives.
Lead as a proactive thought leader, staying abreast of the latest technology trends and maintaining technical credibility.
What you bring to NIKE
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 9-10 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 6 yrs; Masters + 7 yrs; Associates degree + 9yrs; High School + 10 yrs
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
Experience in strategy development within a global and technologically advanced organization.
Robust analytical skills, with experience in shaping strategies that result in sustainable and profitable growth.
Proven expertise in product management, particularly in scaling technology and enterprise solutions.
Previous experience in technology or top-tier management consulting firms with a focus on enterprise architecture or technology strategy.
