Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) is the world's largest telematics service provider. Its mission is to make the world's roads and drivers safer. The company's AI-driven platform, DriveWell Fusion, gathers sensor data from millions of IoT devices - including smartphones, proprietary Tags, connected vehicles, dashcams, and third-party devices - and fuses them with contextual data to create a unified view of vehicle and driver behavior. Auto insurers, automakers, commercial mobility companies, and the public sector use insights from CMT's platform to power risk assessment, safety, claims, and driver improvement programs. Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, with offices in Budapest, Chennai, Seattle, Tokyo, and Zagreb, CMT measures and protects tens of millions of drivers across the world every day.

CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Senior Principal Product Manager who wants to join us in helping the Public Sector make roads safer and drivers better! You will help us build innovative products on top of CMT's massive body of aggregated, anonymized risky driving data that enable traffic safety officials, transportation planners, research institutions, and engineers to improve road safety and reduce crashes. CMT's products will help these organizations make better informed public policy decisions and road infrastructure improvements, thereby delivering value to drivers, passengers, vulnerable road users (pedestrians, bikers, etc.), and society at large.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop empathy for the needs of our customers and use independent judgment and discretion while creating a compelling vision for how to address them

  • Build relationships with key decision makers both internally and external to the company

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, sales, and designers to help articulate, build, and ship your product to our customers

  • Write product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams

  • Work closely with UX to gather user feedback and iterate on or create new product features based on user needs and pain points

  • Work with senior and executive leadership in the company to prepare business cases and models for the overall product line

  • Complete any additional tasks as they arise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in Product Management Computer Science, Business or Engineering

  • 12+ years relevant working experience building B2B products, with a demonstrated ability to set and execute against a product backlog with multiple stakeholders

  • 6+ years of product management experience and a track record of delivering strategic business results

  • A scrappy, positive "impact-focused" attitude: you don't hesitate to take initiative and address something hands-on

  • Comfort with data and data APIs

  • A passion for using data to make our streets and highways safer

  • Experience delivering software products to the public sector is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Fair and competitive salary based on skills and experience

  • Equity may be awarded in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)

  • Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, matching 401k, short-term & long-term disability and parental leave

  • Unlimited Paid Time Off including vacation, sick days & public holidays
