Wall Industries, a subsidiary of Continental Resources, Inc., is located in Exeter, NH. The company manufactures and markets a full line of DC/DC converters and AC/DC power supplies with an emphasis on modified standard and customized power solutions to a worldwide market. We are currently looking for a Senior Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the mechanical design of packaging for power supplies from inception to final product with focus on design for manufacturability, thermal effectiveness and cost

• Design and generate preliminary documentation for fabrication of prototype models. (May include fabricating, testing and modifying prototypes

• Prototyping will include initiating, designing and possible fabricating fixtures, tools and equipment for the manufacture or product with manufacturing

• Generate instructional information for the manufacturer of product being transferred from engineering to manufacturing

• Initiates production changes to ensure the highest quality product

• Design from documentation supplied by customers and/or internal specification.

• Interface with Sales/Marketing and customers as required

• Responsible for the redesign of existing product packaging for cost savings and ease of manufacturing

• Work will be performed using a variety of mechanical fabrication equipment in the machine shop

• Initiates production changes to ensure the highest quality product

• Follow ISO policy and procedures throughout all work performed

• Make effective and efficient use of all resources including inventory material, supplies, tools and tooling equipment.

• Consult supervisor when unusual conditions exist and safety issues arise

• Maintain necessary records, files and reports to immediate supervisor

• Practice good housekeeping in your area

• Properly maintain equipment in good working order, to include reporting un-calibrated equipment

• Follow established company rules and regulations

• Perform other related duties as required

• Interface with other departments, vendors, and manufactures as required

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Four year degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Three years experience or equivalent experience as design engineer of Mechanical packaging. ISO experience a plus

Skills: Must be completely familiar with the following 3D Mechanical design software such as AutoDesk, The safe and proper use of machine shop tools

Must have ability to work out thermal designs properly and the ability to aid manufacturing in the proper techniques for assembly

Must have design knowledge and capabilities to build tooling for manufacturing and assist in setting up proper and efficient build sequences is also required.
