Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an experienced senior program security officer to join our team. This position will be located in Fairfax, Virginia. This is a multi-faceted and multi-customer security position, for the support of complex programs as it relates to all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serving as a subject matter expert on security related activities. Managing a SCIF environment, supporting a fast-paced, high profile program.
Creating, maintaining and leveraging working relationships with internal and external customers. Developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studying and implementing federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
Obtaining rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Preparing manuals outlining regulations, and establishing procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor's access to restricted records and materials. Conducting security education classes and related briefings. Investigating security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of CPSO or related experience; or MS Degree and 8 years of CPSO or related experience; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be considered may be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
Active TS/SCI with Poly.
Experience with DCID and/ or ICD(s).
Self-starter with minimal supervision.
SCIF Management Experience.
Program Security Experience.
Current and working knowledge of the Intelligence Community.
Familiarity with ICD 503 & 705 processes (and or applicable DCID standards).
Organized and efficient at time management.
Experience developing and executing program protection strategies for existing programs, developing programs, or new concepts.
Experience supporting classified proposal development and execution.
Ability to display tact, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of employees.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment in a variety of program areas.
Willing to work extended hours, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Excellent communication skills speaking, writing skills and organizational skills enabling effective communications.
Computer and desktop office software products experience.
Experience with program security support to the overall proposal and business development processes.
