Put your years of experience into a future of excellence! Northrop Grumman is seeking qualified Test Engineers to become part of its team supporting a suite of software applications for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program in Northern Virginia.

Work Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test procedures to ensure all acceptance criteria are met and the software quality conforms to established policy and standards.

  • Perform regression testing as required.

  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures using the testing tools.

  • Document test results and issues.

  • Provides support to Independent, Validation, & Verification (IV & V) test team during acceptance testing, including test procedure walkthroughs, and answering questions on software functionality.

  • Participate in the agile ceremonies and interface with the agile team(s) and other program staff as required.

  • Travel between local DHS sites, as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 13 years of relevant experience.

  • 9 years of experience working with developing functional, technical, performance, and regression testing for software applications.

  • 7 years of experience developing automated test scripts and working with tools such as Selenium, HP-UFT, and Cucumber.

  • US Citizenship to obtain and maintain the required clearance.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS security clearance prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current DHS or DoD Top Secret Clearance.

  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices and tools.

  • Certification in Agile delivery (e.g., SAFe Agilist , CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP).

  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.

  • Experience with Test Driven Development.

  • Experience writing database SQL scripts for backend validation.

  • Basic Understanding of Accessibility (508).

  • Experience with several of the following:

  • User interface testing

  • Data interface and migration testing

  • Systems integration testing

  • Code coverage tools

  • Security testing

  • Performance / load / stress testing

  • Experience with testing in an AWS cloud environment and/or Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline.

As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation's safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity. This position is in Springfield, VA. Work Responsibilities: * Test new and existing software applications. * Verify and validate functionality by evaluating software against system requirements. * Utilize automated testing tools to develop and maintain reusable automated tests. * Collaborate with all members of the scrum team to understand the functionality being developed and the technical design of the implementation to properly design and develop accurate, high-quality automated tests. * Perform analysis of documented user requirements and create or assist in the design of test plans for moderately complex to highly complex software or IT systems. * Develop automated tests and work with the functional team to review and evaluate test scenarios. * Collaborate with the technical team to identify the proper approach to automate tests within the development environment. * Work with the team to understand and resolve software problems with automated tests and respond to suggestions for modifications or enhancements. * Participate in backlog grooming, estimation, and other Agile Scrum ceremonies. * Assist in defining standards and procedures to support testing activities and materials (e.g., scripts, configurations, utilities, tools, plans, and results). * Stay current with cutting-edge technologies to identify the best practices for creating automated tests. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications: This position can be filled as a level 2 or 3.
