What you can expect as the Senior Portfolio Analyst: Responsible for research and analysis of Beacon Capital Management (BCM) portfolios including calculating performance reporting, analyzing performance and holdings, and trading portfolio holdings. Work closely with the Chief Investment Officer to research, develop, and implement new investment models. Create and present on market updates, portfolio research, and performance for sales team and advisors, including speaking at large events. Anticipate and implement industry changes with focus on streamlining processes and reducing risk.

This role will be subject to an SEC compliance program, which can include monitoring personal securities transactions, restrictions on outside business activities, as well as other oversight and restrictions.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the key contact for advisors related to portfolio performance and strategy-related questions, including researching, creating, and delivering presentations on the portfolios and market analysis.

  • Work with portfolio manager to research, construct, and test new portfolio concepts and offerings.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting and assist portfolio manager with deliverables to internal and external partners with written research reports and manager scorecards.

  • Generate market commentary and talking points for the sales team.

  • Calculate and publish internal/external quality metrics related to investment process and outputs.

  • Create and run performance reports that illustrate the degree to which strategies capture their target investment themes and main drivers of performance.

  • Contribute to the composite audit process, including sampling, report generation, and error testing.

  • Prepare and run portfolio optimizations based on pre-determined schedules and/or portfolio characteristic thresholds.

  • Responsible for performance reporting validation and implementation of control enhancements.

  • Assist with daily portfolio and account trading, including order management, execution, and reconciliation.

  • Ensure ongoing adherence to relevant compliance and product guidelines.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Business Administration preferred

  • Minimum 5 years' investment experience including portfolio research and knowledge of trading and financial operations preferred

  • Experience with public speaking regarding complicated financial concepts preferred

  • Experience creating presentation and work product about market commentary or financial concepts preferred

  • Experience with trade desk support and third party order management software preferred

  • Prior direct responsibility for changes to live portfolios or strategies preferred

  • Experience with portfolio optimization and performance attribution software preferred

  • Workflow or process automation experience preferred

  • Analytical mindset and an ability to implement new technology and tools

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and enlist help where needed

  • Reliability, flexibility, and constructive attitude toward change

  • Ability to make sound decisions

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • $72,489 - $151,018 - Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Series License-65 or ability to obtain within 120 Days preferred
