Job Summary
UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring for Senior Population Science Data Manager, Peter O'Donnell Jr. School of Public Health
Experience and Education
Master's degree in related field such as Biostatistics or Computer Science and four (4) years data analysis experience in behavioral, social science or clinical applied research related to type of database building and maintenance,
Bachelor's degree in related field such as Biostatistics or Computer Science and six (6) years data analysis experience including experience mentioned above.
Prefer bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Job Duties
Write complex code for database access, modification, and construction on multiple projects. Construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams and documents the process. Identify and report risks throughout the life of the project and provide mitigation strategy for those risks.
Extract, clean, and integrate data from EPIC and various sources for research studies.
Collaborate with Principal Investigators and research collaborators to formulate plans for data analysis and management.
Make significant contributions to the analysis of complex data for presentations and publications.
Mentor and train Population Science data analyst.
Maintain necessary certifications and hospital credentials for clinical data management.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures as it relates to clinical data.
Assist with the preparation of IRB applications and related documents regarding the protection of human subjects.
Keeps relevant with technical skills, best practices, and institutional policies.
Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience
EPIC certification is highly desired.
Proficient in working with REDCap and relational databases.
Advanced skills in SQL, particularly query optimization.
Familiarity with Velos, content management systems (CMS), data visualization software such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI, and geographic information software such as ArcGIS.
Working knowledge of IRB processes. Demonstrated track record of co-authoring research publications
