THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Senior Poker Manager to be responsible for all aspects of the Poker Room operations, both daily and long term. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Oversee the Poker Room daily operations ensuring that all policies, procedures and gaming regulations are adhered to and consistently followed.
Manage the Poker Room team to include efficient staffing, team member development and training, performance management, hiring/termination decisions and policy enforcement.
Act as the Compliance Officer for assigned shift to ensure operations are meeting MA Gaming Control Agency standards. Ensure the execution of games are within compliance of state and property regulations and policies, and Inform Surveillance and Massachusetts Gaming Commission agents if tampering or cheating is suspected. Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
Monitor tournament results and provide casino accounting with Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) for foreign players that qualify. Maintain the master list for tournament personnel.
Create the satellite program for Poker Tournaments and be responsible for satellite employee staffing.
Help coordinate major Poker Tournament planning and set-up in cooperation with Poker Management and Directors and Managers of other departments of the Property.
Responsible for making sure all Special Events are run successfully in conjunction with Casino Marketing, Special Events and/or Training departments.
Make decisions regarding the granting of complimentaries to guests in accordance with company criteria
Protect the confidentiality of all company files and documents under their immediate control.
Investigate player complaints and determines basis of grievance.
Greet and welcome guests, establish rapport, and provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving disputes and adhering to guest requests.
Answer guest E-mails that are forwarded from Guest Services in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
