AWS Marketplace is a key part of the Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) organization, that is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

The AWS Marketplace team is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical to lead the Procurement & Governance experience for customers.

• Lead product requirements, define features, and work closely with product managers, UX designers, and software engineers to deliver those features, including leading go-to-market strategies.

• Develop a strategy and roadmap to drive a long-term plan for how AWS Partners and Marketplace can enjoy a best-in-class customer experience.

• Be a subject matter expert on how customers procure and govern their software purchases.

• Own externally facing applications (and APIs) used daily by thousands of AWS Partners and customers to run their businesses.

• Interface directly with internal stakeholders and external AWS Customers and Partners at a strategic, prioritization, and technical level.

• Communicate effectively to all levels within the company, both in writing and in meetings.

• Engage with various customer personas including AWS customers, sellers, channel partners, and internal AWS service teams to improve our customer experience.

About the team

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience

• 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

• 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience

• Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market

• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

• Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
